Happy with the price I paid, but however I find the lengthy of time waiting was long. Also on receiving the package I found the it had looked like it had been opened even though the plastic postal bag was sealed the box containing the lens was opened. The sealing tape not stuck to box, no seal o the plastic bag around the lens, and the catch to close the box was a little tatty. Making think I had make a second hand purchase. However the lens looked perfect and worked fine. Good price But long wait for shipment if you don't pay for quicker shipping. Not sure if the product was new due to the state of the box But item was well protected in bubble wrap

The ordered arrived in nineth working day. You said upto 8. And why when I bayd the camera it writed 24 months warranty and now is 12?

I don't know how large or small the company is but for a first time user of their services I was a little nervous when my camera seemed to be a long time coming. That was after I read other reviews stating everything had to be sent from China, which was a little worrying particularly as the website, by design, indicated everything was UK based. I was also bothered when telephoning for an update, the phone service was either 'temporarily offline' or when I did speak to a human being he plainly wasn't of UK origins (no sleight intended) and I was then passed to another line that played music and nobody ever answered. I did receive the occasional email update on delivery saying it was dispatched and with the carrier, but when I telephoned the carrier, they said "Oh you're not the first one this week to query deliveries from Value Basket and we haven't had the parcel from them yet so can't advise further". This set more alarm bells ringing. However, the camera did finally arrive after about a week and a half from original order and all is well. It was very well packaged and works fine. My only wish is that their customer communication setup could be a lot better managed in order for the user experience to be much improved. I also think if their website made it clear that items have to come from abroad so there will be a longer wait, customers wouldn't feel quite so nervous at dealing with them. I gave the site a 'Normal' rating because they did deliver eventually and the package contents were fine but I couldn't rate them higher because of the less than helpful customer service.

Having made a mistake in double ordering (my fault) the team were quick in responding to cancel the extra order however it did take a week before confirmation of refund was forthcoming. Further it was not apparent to me that the product ordered was not in fact in the country and I became concerned that even when my order was rated priority, it was still considerably later than other items which I ordered afterwards from other companies. It is most infuriating also to keep reading that your order is in transit when it was not even in the country and you are unaware of this fact - several days in transit. The product however is excellent. Delays are unavoidable at times but it is better that the customer is aware of them. Apart from that the rest of the service is fine.

When I ordered, I had worked on timings using the stated delivery times. Your decision to dispatch early meant that I was away when Hermes attempted to deliver; the contact details you gave for them in your email only took me to a recorded message, and there was no useful information on the cards they left. I only finally took delivery on the final attempt because I asked my father to drop everything to ensure that he was at my address this morning. Your service has been fine; Hermes World however leave a lot to be desired.

I have already done a review however I am willing to add more, I have only starred them as normal but think they should be at least good, but my experience with my order as stated in my last review means they need to sort the issue out for their sake I believe they are probably a very good company and I would trade with them again and would now recommend them to others

I haven't got my camera yet. It's been delayed two days by the courier. Quite a long time too wait really. Hopefully it's going to be worth all the anticipation...

Ordered a cannon camera on 4/12/15. Received an email to advise me it had been shipped and would be delivered within 3 - 5 days, unfortunately due to confusion with this information and goods not arriving and the tracker number on Hermes showing invalid. it induced me to look at reviews which instantly caused me to panic. This was made worse by the fact I tried calling value basket and kept being told there was technical issues with the line. Feeling I may have been scammed I contacted a third party to file a report.there was no requirement for this as camera arrived on 15/12/15 well packaged with extended warranty. I have since retracted the report. My apologies VB a little improvement needed on customer service and information regarding timescales but otherwise thankyou for my delivery as this is a Christmas present. I would use this company again

The price of my camera was unbeatable. However, I was very concerned when I did not receive an email confirmation of my purchase and when my carefully noted password for the website did not allow me access. The camera was couriered through Hermes and I was able to track it. It was delivered a week after the order - brilliant. However, when it was delivered it was just thrust into my hand at the door with no checks in place and no signature required. The camera's default language was Japanese or Korean. It's a good job I've had a Lumis before and knew my way round the menu. Not easy finding how to change the language to English from a Japanese/Korean menu. On the web page the camera is described as having in built GPS. It doesn't. I'm not very happy about this as I have used the GPS function on previous models to check out where the photos were taken when I get home. Given other reviews of Value Basket on Trust Pilot, I'm just very pleased to have received it at the price I paid.

The ordering process was simple, delivery took longer than I would usually have expected, but it is Christmas, so overall no issues.

I'm giving an average rating based on the price being so good, however other than that the service was pretty poor. I made an error inputting my address when initially placing the order (I didn't add the company name of the delivery address). Whilst this was my fault I noticed it almost immediately and endeavored to correct my mistake then and there, via VBs contact mechanism (incidentally at no point did their phone number work when I tried to call). No matter how hard I tried I could not get Value Basket to respond in time. I even tried via Facebook and whilst they did respond they ignored my primary query about the delivery address and wouldn't address in spite of my prompts. When they eventually responded to my original email(s) request to add the relevant info to my delivery address they said it was too late and made no attempt to sort it with the courier. It was only the fact that I knew the courier driver, and they knew which company I worked for, that the issue did not descend in to a major issue. Won't be using VB again I'm afraid.

Took 10 days for order to arrive after chasing. Phone seems fine but is European and comes with a 2 pin plug but have been sent a UK plug separate. Overall ok service if prepared to wait and chase.

I CAN'T GIVE THIS COMPANY A GOOD OR BAD REVIEW YET AS I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY GOODS. UNFORTUNATELY SO FAR THE INFORMATION WITH REGARDS TO POSTING HASN'T BEEN BRILLIANT.

I ordered item on the phone as your on line site wouldn't let me send the order form after I had filled it in. I spoke to a man who I thought was in England as the line and his accent were understandable so I thought the item would be coming from with in the united Kingdom. as the item had not arrived within a week I phoned up to enquire if the order had gone through. it quickly became apparent that I was speaking to a women on a very poor line it seems to Hong Kong she spoke very poor English this coupled with the bad long distance line made it impossible to communicate with her. This is normal when communicating with these call centres abroad and counter productive. The Item did eventually arrive and is so far operating well after I found out that the zoom does not operate unless it has a memory card installed. This is not mentioned in the very limited manual that Nikon supply and gave me the idea initially that the mechanism was faulty. j. Varney

Products come as described. I have now placed three orders. First two orders took much longer to arrive than expected, third order was received in 9 days. If web site was more realistic about delivery times then, I would give 5 stars.

The site doesnt let you know that you will be charged import duty of 4.2% and VAT of 20% when the item arrives, meaning you will pay a further 25% to recieve the product, so it will probably be cheaper to buy elsewhere, also did not recieve cashback as agreed through topcashback
