“Rhine cruise Amsterdam to Frankfurt. Was a bit disappointed with various aspects of the cruise. We spent far too much time on the river and not enough visits to the places en route. Not enough optional tours i.e. one particular disappointment was not to visit Rudesheim only the arranged tour for wine tasting which everyone did not want, and no way of going into the town itself, which we know from experience is well worth a visit. Very disappointed not to go to the Keukenhof Gardens these trips were re-arranged because of Kingsday and we particularly wanted to visit Amsterdam and had to go in the afternoon which was absolute chaos. More evening entertainment would have been appreciated. Very slow in the restaurant, serving Dinner took between two and three hours way too long. Would not particularly recommend this cruise compared to previous ones we have done.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise but would have liked direct flights home to London. Other guests went direct but we had to change at Amsterdam. As our first flight was delayed we missed our connection and had a long wait in transit making a very tiring day.”

“Enjoyed every minute - food wonderful and the service perfection. The staff extremely pleasant and helpful, there really are not enough words to express how highly I recommend Viking cruises. Perhaps the proof is that by this September I shall have travelled on three of your ships in one year!! Pat Mahlich”

“First rate holiday to China. Great ship, great hotels, great food, great itinerary, great weather and great tour guide. We saw China at its best. We could not fault any part of this holiday. Great organisation by Viking.”

“Had high expectations after our previous cruise and were not disappointed. We had a problem in our stateroom with a wet carpet, apparently from an underfloor leak however, the hotel manager found us other accommodation which was more than satisfactory. Food and wine were spectacular and we made some good friends on board. We purchased two on board vouchers towards our next cruise although it may be a couple of years before we can take it. It was worth every penny. Highly recommended.”

“This review is based on four previous holidays with Viking. Overall we were very happy with this holiday. Most outstanding was the happy, excellent service provided by the staff, they were really excellent. Just a couple of points very good but not of the best (especially lunch time as I found not eating meat became rather boring, perhaps cheese could have been provided). Why or why do waiters bring the main lunch time course (sometimes hot) before one has finished the previous course? The chef regularly mingled with the travellers which was unique and appreciated. It would have been more enjoyable if there was increased free time during visits to relax or shop. On many previous river cruises the daily new sheet included quizzes. These we found enjoyable as it quite often brought about conversation with other travellers trying to solve the problems. One of the highlights of the cruise was the talk on Life in France Today, the woman presenting it was outstanding and very funny.”

“Amazing holiday, we have no complaints at all, Jenna our guide dealt with everything, we went to places we would never have seen if it was not for this tour, no queueing, no waiting everything went to plan. The internal flights, no delays and luggage dealt with by tour guide, 5 star hotels, and the river cruise was first class, wonderful boat, along with amazing staff who knew your name from first day, the food and wine were good quality. We both enjoyed out holiday immensely”

“We upgraded our cabin because we found it too claustrophobic. After that everything was great. The service was always friendly and helpful, the food was very good. The crew put on some great entertainment. The weather was glorious and all the places we visited were really interesting with well informed guides. We found the recent history particularly fascinating. We had 2 extra days in Budapest and thoroughly enjoyed it. Viking looked after us all the way including at they airport. We met lots of nice people from all over the world and I've already had several emails from some of them. We bought vouchers towards our next cruise and our now deciding where to go! This was our second Viking cruise and it was different but every bit as good as the first.”

“Our second cruise with Viking and enjoyed this one as much as the first. Only 13 Brits on board this time so met some super folk from the USA. Very well organised and with hard working and cheerful staff. Have already booked another for 2016.”

“Beautiful boat,shower unit was very good for such a vessel.All meals were excellent,especially the breakfasts.It was good to have a sizable flat sceen TV wth a range of programmes,thou'the bow camera was a bit of a waste. A negative comment-the 'gratuities'.Do the staff not have a salery?It's really quite offensive to suggest that we should tip someone more than our joint pensions.”
