We ordered the Arcadia Murphy Bed for our baby nursery, paying roughly $10,000 because we wanted a premium product. Our absolute, non-negotiable requirement was an all-wood construction with zero MDF or particleboard. Wilding Wallbeds explicitly promises this across their website, stating "All wood construction. No particle board or MDF core material" on the product page. Unfortunately, the delivered product completely contradicts these marketing guarantees: - Deceptive Materials: Once assembled, we uncovered countless instances of MDF throughout the unit. When we confronted customer service, the representative admitted, in writing, that their paint-grade material uses a thin layer of MDF over a solid wood core & sent supporting documentation on how their "wood" uses multiple layers of MDF. This means the entire product & entire visible exterior surface of the bed is layered with MDF. This feels like a highly misleading bait-and-switch. - Sub-par Craftsmanship & Quality Control: The quality of the build is incredibly cheap for this price point. We hired our General Contractor to assemble the bed to avoid user-error & with his assembly, the cabinet doors and knobs are noticeably uneven and misaligned. The panel spacing is completely non-uniform, and parts that should be flush are not. - Structural Defects: The unit suffers from poor manufacturing alignment. The structural gap between the pull-out bed panel and the side board is completely uneven—wide at the top and narrow in the middle. - Incomplete Painting: The paint finish is incredibly poor. It does not even extend all the way to the hinges, leaving raw, unfinished material completely exposed. We selected this company specifically for their reputation for handcrafted, real-wood furniture. Instead, we received a poorly constructed product made of materials we explicitly tried to avoid. This is NOT a real-wood product and screams IKEA quality.

The cabinet is beautiful, but the mattress is very uncomfortable. Our guest woke up with back pain.

I dud not accept the bed from the shipper the boxes were open and was not on the pallet. It sat at the shipper from a month before it was shipped to me. I had to call to find out where it was. I got my money back from you so I never got to see the bed setup.

The instructions were not updated to the mechanism changes causing me to have to call. The screws for the face boards were Phillips, not square drive like the instructions say. Even had a square drive bit. Would have helped because they are less likely to strip. Holes in the side panel were not countersunk enough. Had to drill out the safety holes in the arms. Center face board is warped and did not draw down. Strap is made with the buckle on top of the mattress where you can feel it. It should be on the side. Had to call about the poor face alignment. Glen and Jake helped me through the multiple phone calls and the bed looks good. The instruction issue must be embarrassing and is totally inexcusable. I certainly feel screwed on the square drive screw issue. I am in a new community in Florida where wall beds are popular. Should I recommend Wilding? Maybe but with warnings. So what can you do for me? 248.904.7111
