My shed has been up a couple of months now. The quality is very poor. So many of the tongue and groove slats do not fit correctly, some panels split, loads of holes and large gaps around the doors and windows. I took a long time to fill and sand the holes and gaps, but now with the warm weather, all panels have expanded and now have over metre long gaps where the tongue and groove was never fitted correctly. So the shed is far from water-tight. Also all the panels are roughly cut and not square. A professional joiner had to try to pull them all back into position and built the shed using ratchet straps and supports or it would have been impossible. So many panels needed to be trimmed or even reconstructed. The screws supplied for the roof supports were not strong enough and it started to sag and needed to be supported with additional bolts. The floor, coming in six sections is a joke. Massively off-square and very flimsy and bouncy. I had to invest in a chipboard floor to go over the top. One of the plastic windows was supplied with a small crack, I couldn't be bothered making a fuss about it, but after a couple of weeks it completely shattered from what I assume was a bird strike. All in all, a very shoddy and cheaply made product with cheap wood and ill-fitting parts. And this is meant to 'premium' product ! BTW, this is what £2,500 gets you !! I wish I had read the review sites as Waltons get appalling write ups. Go elsewhere as this company is awful.

This is a long term review of a log cabin design shed that I wanted to use for a workshop. The shed has now been in place for just over 3 years and never, never again will I purchase anything from this company. Initially, some of the timber was damaged, I had to have all the felt replaced and re-roofed twice as it leaked as soon as it rained. The windows and doors had to be replaced as they didn’t fit properly and leaked. The door still leaks and still doesn’t fit properly. Due to the design of the interlocking tongued and grooved timbers the wind just drives the water straight through the walls and the interior is now water stained and damp in a number of places. None of this wood is properly seasoned or pressure treated and has moved considerably in the warmer weather, which obviously is causing some of the leaks and issues mentioned. I have re-treated the outside twice since I had it built. I did e-mail recently but was told I am afraid that at present I can only offer advice as your order is out of leadtime. With the recent bad weather the roof is now leaking again badly onto electrical items that have been ruined. I am appauled that a company can get away with such poor quality design and material and would warn people not to use this Waltons. I have tried to be remain positive about my experience with them but at my time of life I don’t have a lot of money and can’t afford to replace it. I’m not sure what the so called 10 year warranty is for or what it covers as they don’t seem prepared to honour this. One year to sort out leaks etc is not enough on a purchase of this scale and outlay, especially as the timber will expand and contract. Such an unprofessional attitude. Please look elsewhere is my recommendation. Just found more leaks coming through the roof and walls. On inspecting the roof closely I discovered the wrong roofing nails were used on the felt and with the hot Summer they had lifted. Cowboys come to mind. I think having a long term review is important, as customers need to know how these cabins cope with the British weather. Basically they don’t.

Spent £3300 on a Log Cabin, delivery guys were great, but we experienced problems with the build from the off. Hinges for windows were missing and found some of the wood to be warped and chipped. But the worst part were the Gable ends had not been cut correctly causing long delays and extra expense. Customer service is horrendous, asking us to jump through hoops and delaying sorting out issues. Keep asking for pictures and try stating about their terms and conditions, as they obviously know their products are rubbish quality. Gave up in the end and will be seeking advice on matter. Stay away from this company is the best advice I can give. I will never use Waltons again and they have already lost another sale from a family member.

255595341 My partner paid for the Helios summer house for me as a 40th birthday present during lockdown. I was so looking forward to it, but when it was delivered the more we inspected the parts ready to assemble it, the more we saw how dreadful the quality of it is. We contacted Mercia (the manufacturers) who did not want to know. If the build quality is appalling, their customer service is worse. You expect a few rough edges and raised nails to sort out, but this was ridiculous. Every single panel had splits in the wood or tongue and groove sections that had been damaged or not fitted and then nailed anyway, was badly warped, or (and!) had nails sticking out that had completed failed to hit their mark. One window was broken. They requested evidence and we spent an hour taking pictures of all of the faults to send them. Despite asking for this, they were utterly disinterested in helping us fix it in any way and offered no genuine solutions or sincere apologies. It was clear they just wanted me to get lost, and bandied me about between five people different who all said the same thing. Unless you are prepared to wait weeks for a replacement (likely to be just as shoddy) or spend a bucketload putting right all the things that are wrong, I would urge you to avoid Mercia at all costs. I’m now having to escalate my complaint externally. Their own site says they create ‘perfect’ outdoor buildings. This is a LIE. They are a shambles and do not care about their customers at all. Absolute cowboys.

Where do I start if I could give no stars as a review I would. Paid over £1200 last year for the premium corner summer house. Quality is abysmal, nothing fits properly, wood is of extremely poor quality. It took hours of my time and extra expense to do my best to rectify the issues. Extra wood purchased to support the roof and three waterproof sealers to name just a few extras When I complained about the poor quality, for example gaps around the doors so big that water would leak in everytime, I was offered a small discount. I complained to citizens advice but not much could be done. I reluctantly accepted the small discount offered. My advice is to stay away from this product. I am hoping that with the extra work I completed this product will last a few years. In the meantime I will save some hard earned money in anticipation this poor inadequate product will need replacing in the near future. One thing for sure it will not be replaced like for like.

and is very flimsy. We have spent so far £100 on wood + labour to have the shed Ordered 10 x 8 apex shed. Delivered on time and covered until base ready. In fairness asked our groundworkers to erect. They reported sections didn't fit so couldn't finish. Several emails exchange of photos and a phone call later we were advised that nothing was missing from the gable ends as they could see from delivery photos that they were complete. We employed a joiner experienced in shed building. He had to make parts so that everything fitted. However we then discovered that the materials used to make the shed are of such poor quality that even when the floor and roof are fixed the whole structure moves. It really is not fit for purpose. We have had to spend £100+ to buy wood to strengthen the whole structure plus the joiners cost. On a shed costing just under £1000 that is disgraceful. No use complaining to Waltons as they seem to be under the impression that the customer is always wrong. Very disappointed will not be

worst made product ever, took 10 hours to build for two grown adults due to the roof not being square, knot holes all over , scratch on one window, shiplap that didn't line up, flooring that wasn't square so needed to be trimmed , to a door that didn't fit, for nearly £500 I was absolutely disgusted at the quality

i could give less than 1 star i would. Poor quality wood for log cabin. And the customer service is even worse. They have been rude and dismissive. The wood started moving despite wood braces at the slightest wind, not even had any strong winds yet. I had it checked and was advised its due to poor quality wood. Update 8/7/21 - apparently Waltons after blaming braces etc for months have now said that the wood they use expands and contracts (so much that you can fit fingers through) is natural with all wood. Therefore please do not buy unless you want gaping holes which obviously allows rain water in your log cabin.

Avoid this company. I bought a premier summerhouse in April. It is sub standard to say the least. I feel ripped off. One panel is warped, there are gaps around the windows, big gaps, the quality is poor and several nails were sticking out and had also split the woods in parts. Waltons suggested I fix the faults with wood glue. Accepting no responsibility for poor manufacturing and faults and the over priced goods.  Because I painted it, as directed by the company, they will not accept any responsibility. Customer service manage was rude and due to remote working they could not phone me.  It was a nightmare to assemble and I ended up paying someone to do it. They were also shocked at the poor quality. Very disappointed with goods and the customer service. They have also increased the prices of the goods. They are making faulty goods and making a good profit. No regard for the individual that buys the goods. STAY AWAY.... similar reviews agree with me.

Wrecked our trust and dreams I'm not impressed by waltons ,some of their telephone staff act like bullies and if something goes wrong and they try and blame anything else. Bought a 12 x8 summerhouse ,was meant to be a one day installation ,it took two days over seven days. The installers turned up at 1 and left at 4 blaming the weather and headed to Inverness . Summerhouse was finally built on wednesday ,and was overturned by alleged wind last night , the funny thing was that the summerhouse wasnt secured to the base that they brought with them , even though there were metal slots in the base to screw into .Spoke to waltons and it was allegations and accusations and pointing to terms and conditions , they then offered £450 and couldn't even pay that out .this is the way this company treats a Veteran and his terminally ill partner ,they didn't even bother to call us back. Very Poor Customer Services. As soon as they have your monies they dont care . The next night the summerhouse fell apart to slight winds, on inspection of the parts of this build, some parts were only held on by three screws. The base wasn't straight that they installed and the base wasn't level either. Photos taken of all incidents. The felt in the roof was held in place with 12 tacks, even more tacks were left in the bag they gave me, which also included about two hundred screws that hadn't been used to make the installation secure, when it blew over the only thing that was still in place was an uneven base with decking that isn't straight at all and lets not forget the one screw. photos available for this as well. After the install I asked the joiners if this would stay up in the wind and they replied that they have only heard of a roof coming off , if it does, we will come back and fix it. The whole build is now in pieces and we have 40 photos of evidence of a bad build , also got a joiner to have a look on Saturday and he was shocked by what he had seen, there was no attention to detail and if you don't have a flat and correct size level base to start with, what are you meant to do. My build is welcome to be independent inspected and if Waltons want to send someone, we will welcome them to see this for themselves. I used the last of my military pension to get this built for my terminally ill partner before she passes away with Breast Cancer as something that I could always remember her by, and Waltons have destroyed the whole experience. The fact the telephone staff in the customer services didnt want to know that my partner was dying and it was irrelevant for them to comment.

BEWARE!! I bought a summerhouse earlier this year and paid them for installation so there wouldn’t be any issues if there was a fault. The doors won’t close at all, nowhere near and Walton’s take no responsibility. They referred me to Mercia Installations who installed it using the Stop Digging ground screws. Mercia refuse to do anything because, although I bought a treated product, there is some small print hidden in a questionnaire they send you which says you have to treat it within 3 months. I need some more garden storage but I definitely won’t be going back to Walton’s.

I can't recommend this company at all. The product arrived, the gable end so visibly damaged that it should never have been loaded onto the truck, and customer service are unable to give me a date for replacement. Oh... they did offer me £20 as compensation if I would keep the damaged end! (on a £600 shed!) If I could give a zero star rating I would.

Truly awful quality shed for almost £1000. Multiple holes in the wood, huge gaps between the tongue and groove slats after a few months. Walton weren't remotely interested in dealing with the issues, so we put a case to the Credit Card company and they reversed the transaction. We got all of our money back.

I contacted walton as my summer house leaked water from the roof and side pannels, it was erected as instructed, and the roofing felt was upgraded,I sent photos of the water leaks and walton said they would be in touch, this was 3 months ago, I have not heard from them since, AVOID waltons at all costs, i would not recommend them, once they have your money they loose interest so be warned.

Avoid Waltons Summerhouse at all costs, we had one fully installed ( an extra £1000) and just had the 3rd visit to have it repaired, they still cannot do the remedial work !!- no one in authority to speak to and even the head of fitters was horrified by the mess we are left with. I am just about to contact Trading Standards.

The quality of the building is awful. Bend timbers. Timbers cut to different lengths so edges would not fit together properly. Nails protruding. Bits broken off where screws have gone through. Screws protruding on the inside. Windows very flimsy. Gouges in the floor from pieces being stacked and protruding nails damaged panel underneath. Door frames made very badly and look awful no matter how they are hung. Complained and got £30 refund. Definitely would not recommend and certainly wouldn’t buy from them again.

When it was delivered, one side panel was broken, were told it would take 5 to 10 working days for a replacement panel, unless we fixed it ourselves and they would reimburse us £40 , which we accepted has we did not want to wait, we think £40 was a bit of a joke considering we had paid £1044 for it. We then found there was no hinges, or catch for the doors, nether window in the roof, their was no latch, we had to go out and buy these ourselves. A lot of the wood had warped, it’s not worth the money at all, I have just seen on their website they are now charging £1244 fir the Mercia Combi greenhouse, how they get away with this I do not know, in selling a product that is badly designed. Do not buy from this company, we will not buy from them again.

Appalling post sale customer service, product deteriorates rapidly. Appalling post sale customer service. The service team do not read emails properly and hide behind Ts and Cs we hadn't seen. Our greenhouse is now 4 years old and will have to be replaced as the windows have deteriorated to the point where you cannot see through them. Except one which is crystal clear. Waltons therefore installed the greenhouse with two types of styrene, one which deteriorates rapidly and one which doesn't. The service team cant offer any explanation and refer to the fact that we hadn't utilised the annual maintenance for the wood which we didn't know about and is irrelevant anyway. We will now need to buy another greenhouse from someone else. My strong recommendation is to avoid this company. I have photos to back up my complaints.
