“Expected a delivery yesterday, no show, apparently driver ran out of hours.
Phoned this morning and told they would not deliver for another 10 days. What an absolute joke.
Cancelled my order, and will never use these morons again...”
“Initial delivery was good, the driver was very friendly and accommodating of the fact that we have two tanks which needed the delivery splitting between. However, don't expect them to pay for any damage they inflict on your property!
When the driver left, he chose to manoeuvre in particular way in our yard that resulted in him driving over and damaging a manhole cover (quoted ~£300+VAT to replace) - I contacted WCF Chandlers and was told by Louise Biggs their Customer Services Manager in no uncertain terms that they wouldn't be covering the cost of the damages because there was "no indication that there are drain covers on the yard in the delivery instructions" and that "it is not always possible to see or indeed manoeuvre around drain covers" and quoted clauses from their t's & c's at me about surfaces that their drivers "must pass over". I explained that the drain covers are very easily visible and that they are in the far corner of our yard where the driver did not need to manoeuvre - our yard being over 30m across and around 10m deep - and so there was no need to pass over them.
My last correspondence was on the 8th Feb which has since been completely ignored. Had the matter have been resolved we would have happily continued using WCF Chandlers and this would be a five star review - however, they apparently think it is fine to come onto your property and damage it, then say its your fault for not telling them to 'watch out' for every possible thing they might drive over or knock into...”

Old fashioned customer service makes them easy to deal with, and they are very friendly and helpful. They top up our tank regularly so we don't need to worry about it , and when the tank cracked, they spotted it and told us, checking on the progress of a replacement before they topped us up again. Couldn't be better!

Competitive prices, fast delivery, much faster than expected. Driver couldn't get my complete order in my tank, my error. Refund back in my account promptly. Would definitely recommend.

Failed to deliver not just once but twice!
I ordered and paid for an oil delivery on March 2nd for delivery on or before March 15th. It's been three days since the due delivery date, and the oil has yet to arrive.
I had to take the initiative to find out what had happened to my deliveries, and neither Boiler Juice nor Chandlers appeared concerned by my plight. The original order could have been delivered on any day from early March, but Chandler's sat on it until close to the deadline by which time they apparently had driver availability issues. Further, they revealed that they could not honour the second deadline because of a road closure (the road was closed at around 9am, but the first I heard was at 3.30pm when I rang to chase the delivery).
Frankly, I found customer service to be an unpleasant combination of defensive, patronising, and ineffective.
I urge you to choose carefully when you next need a delivery of oil!”
“I have been a monthly paying account customer for 15 years. The service received before now has been good but they have left us high and dry this time. Oil ordered over 2 weeks ago and we were told delivery in 10 days. Nothing received so I have rung three times and they are telling me a further week as they have had no drivers in our area. They delivered to our next door neighbour 2 days ago!!! Why the hell don't they organise things properly so that they deliver to two adjacent houses on the same delivery. I will have to go an fetch an emergency pack if we run out which is likely in this weather. My 85 year Dad is going to be wearing all of his clothes if we run out.”
“Ordered heating oil and date to be delivered. No email or text day before agreed delivery. Made contact to be informed that my delivery would be the next day even told them I would be out of oil. No still waiting for delivery at 1130 am for delivery with plumber here waiting to bleed system after delivery at a cost of £50. Outside temperature is 1c and house very cold. Bad service from start to finish. Never use again.”

“SHORT DELIVERY BY WCF CHANDLERS
WCF Chandlers made a delivery at the end of Jan 2019 for myself and neighbour (first time supplier) which was supposed to be 500 litres each. Checked 3 weeks later and our levels had both dropped considerably (equivalent of using 100L per week). Previously used 400L over 5 months (Sep to Jan). No significant loss occurred when measured again a week later. Delivery process works on trust - suppliers insist delivery must take place even if we're not in so we can't always confirm actual content delivered.
Queried with Boiler Juice and WCF Chandlers and despite confirming that both tanks were locked and secure, there were no leaks and both boilers were recently serviced, both businesses kept relying on the quantity printed on the delivery ticket having to be "right" because it was "from a sealed unit that is checked by Trading Standards". Both companies refused to provide refund or investigate when vehicle/unit was last checked or whether any other deliveries for same date/driver/unit/area had been queried. Neither company seemed concerned at having dissatisfied customers or that they may have operational problems or potential fraud within their business, with the person at WCF Chandlers being downright rude.
Myself and my neighbour (both pensioners) have lost approx £130 each (which we can't afford to lose) due to this single delivery from WCF Chandlers. Needless to say we WON’T be using them again for fear of them stealing our money again.”
