We were happy to choose Western Broadband as our service provider when we moved 1 mile out of town. Unfortunately, it never came close to living up to Spectrum at $17 per month. We started with a $50 plan and almost immediately went up to the next plan at $75. It didn’t change much at all and wound up getting worse. We made calls to tech and eventually figured it wasn’t ever going to get better based on the poor service even after talking to tech. We were locked into a contract. We wound up needing to purchase a different home and were told the equipment would need to be picked up before we closed on the home. Since I need the internet for work, I knew I couldn’t cancel service before moving and bad internet was better than none. Service would literally not work once 9pm hit most days, but was some better during the day usually. My husband and I finally realized we should have gone back to the $50 service since the more expensive plan was still bad. We did reduce the plan and didn’t notice a difference. We had 3 houses under contract all get cancelled due to property conditions and/or the lender flat out refusing to lend due to sellers refusing to do repairs. We finally closed on Friday late afternoon. We did not actually find out we were going to close until that day. We were wondering if it actually would close since we had one contract cancel day of closing due to new information about the property found out by title on closing day. We were trying to make sure we had everything set up so we would have utilities at the new place on a holiday weekend. Apparently, I called the day after the cut off, and we are now stuck paying for 29 days for nothing. The customer service rep raised his voice at me and the supervisor was uncaring and rigid. I asked for a proration or even a few dollars off the bill, and there was no care or concern. I’m so glad to be finished with a company that provides bad service and bad customer service for a premium price. Please find a different internet provider. You will regret using Western Broadband.

My husband & I have had Western Broadband for many years and have found it to work well for us. However, we recently thought we would switch to a larger global company. It was going to cost us quite a bit for the equipment and more monthly. The downside was that there is no way to contact that company in the event customer service was needed. When I contacted Western Broadband, they had recently had a big upgrade and could offer several levels of service, most cost less than the global company. For me, the ability to speak with a person who can answer my questions or troubleshoot any issues is key. Their staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and patient. We upgraded our plan & happily are staying with Western Broadband.

We have been subscribers to WBB for many years. Technicians have always been very knowledgeable, polite , on time and respectful. Customer service is the best.

Hello Jessica, thank you for the feedback. I'm sorry the service isn't living up to your expectations. I do see you contacted us for technical support back in August, and we were able to get the full 100Mbps speed for your plan, with a download in your house using 30Mbps and a speed test getting the remaining 70Mbps. The technician noted that only the Dish Network On Demand service was running slowly, and everything else in your home was running normally. This would indicate that the issue is with the On Demand service, and not with the Internet connection we provide. The last note on that issue is from when we spoke with you August 29th, which mentioned you would call back if there were further issues, and we have not heard from you since then. Please do reach out to us if you are having any further trouble with things, we are here to help! Even if we can't fix the issue you're having with your Dish services, we can at least rule out other issues for your peace of mind. Technical support is 24/7, so please do give us a call anytime you are having trouble.

We have used Western Broadband for at least 20 years. If I have a problem or question, there is always someone to talk to....a real live person! The service is very dependable. I can't see us using any other internet provider anytime in the future. I even rent a router from them because if I have an issue, all I have to do is call them.

Overall service is excellent, their technical service center is knowledgeable, and they are always available to help. Package we have requires a satellite pole on our property. WB prices are in line and sometimes better than competitors! We highly recommend.

The new updated version is great. Much faster than the original. Rarely have problems with service, only when they are working on the system or one of the other providers cause issues. Customer service is quick, friendly and effective.

My service works just fine for the most part. The night crew. especially Craig has helped me very much. Kudos to him. I would say that the customer service is good depending on who I am working with. Some good some not so good.

You're central to the success we've had as a company, allowing us to grow primarily via word of mouth, and doing virtually no advertising or marketing over the years. Here are some of the things we have done during your time with us to reward loyal customers like you, including the discounts you mentioned: 1) We have never raised our prices. When you're paying for a certain speed plan, your bill doesn't go up unexpectedly after 6 months or a year - or ever! - like it would with many other providers. 2) We have increased our speeds without a price increase - twice in the almost 9 years you've been our customer. Once in October of 2017, when the plan you were on at that time increased in speed by 50%, then again in March 2023, when we upgraded to new equipment, which was done for free for both of your accounts. For one account, you went from 15Mbps download speed to 200Mbps download speed for the same monthly price, and for the other, you went from 9Mbps download speed to 100Mbps download speed, for a lower monthly price, saving you money every month from then on. 3) We offer referral bonuses when you refer new customers to our service! You received a referral bonus less than a year after you signed up with us for referring a family member - thank you! We still offer referral bonuses, though they are even higher now - $30 per referral instead of $15, with no limit! 4) We offer extensions on bill due dates and removal of late fees, upon request, and more flexibility is available the longer the account has been open. 5) We have expanded our technical support hours over the years from Monday through Friday only, to 7 days a week, and then most recently, to full 24/7 hours, including holidays, in 2018.
