“On booking we were shocked with what we had to provide compared to most professional companies. Do not expect them to supply anything other than the car, the person leading and the animals in their boxes. They do not have a gazebo, a table, a chair, any information regarding the company, the insects or any hand cleaning supplies.
The girl was very pleasant but she had not been briefed - her words, and had no idea where she was coming to until late notice.
The experience could be so much more especially for what they charge. A Gazebo with Wild Science displayed, or if being supplied with one a board saying who they are, information about the animals present - habitat, what they eat, where they originate from and which countries can the insect be found in, leaflets with this information if nothing else. I feel that there are so many opportunities that are being missed for them to get more bookings and for the visitor to have a more fulfilling experience.”
Thank you for the feedback. We take it seriously, even where we see things differently.
For context for anyone reading, this was a public festival booking. The setup items mentioned, including the gazebo, table and shelter, were set out clearly in writing before the booking was confirmed as things the organiser provides, as is standard for outdoor event work of this kind. Our presenter delivered the full booked session on the day and worked hard with what was available.
Where we do agree is on visible branding and information at large public events. It is a fair point, and it is something that isa already in place for future sessions
We had offered a gesture of goodwill at the time and that offer still stands. If you would like to take it up, we would genuinely welcome the chance to show you Wild Science at its best.
“Great event, the presenter was super knowledgeable and very entertaining, the kids and adults alike, enjoyed the demonstration. Thank you so very much, for such an enjoyable event”
“A good selection of unusual animals. the deliverers were very knowledgable, and explained all the animals to the children in easy to understand language. They encouraged good talk by asking questions and answered any questions the children had. Th e children thoroughly enjoyed the visit.”
“We invited wild science during our summer programme for Children with motor disorders to do their bath bomb making and animal encounter workshops. Both educational facilitators were fantastic and provided lots of appropriate information to our children and the correct level for their understanding. They ensured there was lots of sensory experiences and observed and responded to what our our children needed to access the activities by working with our staff. Highly recommend this company for a fun yet educational experience for all ages and abilities. Thank you Wild Science.”
“We had Wild Science along for part of our community family fun day and everyone loved it! They all loved being able to interact with the animals and the staff were great with everyone.”
“Wild Science were very kind and accommodating, and the session was absolutely magical. My husband loves animals but he’s disabled so it’s hard to have a pet. I thought I’d bring the animals to him instead, and Wild Science made sure it was a beautiful day.”
“Our pupils loved the visit, staff were very informative, polite and able to adapt / present very well for our SEN pupils!
A great range of reptiles!
We would most certainly re-book!”
“Did my child’s party last year and was absolutely not worth the money. Not engaging for the children and all but one child left the room as they were not kept engaged at all.
When giving my feedback I was spoken too extremely rudely and aggressively.”
“Awful experience. Party was for 2 year old twins and was not age appropriate at all. Other than a snake, all over animals were insects and a frog. Very minimal contact with the animals was allowed, this was not a hands on experience at all. The host wasn’t engaging at all, the children (range of ages) were bored. Asked for some sort of refund as this basically ruined their party and was handed a handful of excuses and refused one. The main excuse was animal welfare. If you can’t provide the service you promised don’t have this business. I even emailed beforehand to make sure the animals were appropriate so they essentially lied. Should have read reviews first. Avoid.”
“The Science Materials Workshop was an exciting and engaging experience for our Year 1 children. Throughout the session, pupils explored a variety of hands‑on experiments that helped them investigate different materials and their properties. They tested, sorted, discovered and worked together like real scientists. The room was filled with curiosity, laughter and lots of “wow” moments. Many children said it was the best day ever, and they left the workshop buzzing with enthusiasm and a deeper understanding of how materials behave in the world around them.”
