“The solicitor we used for our conveyancing regularly failed to respond to correspondence or keep us informed of progress. Needed regular chasing up. Behind the scenes he was having conversations with the agent (whom he knew well) without keeping us adequately informed. That relationship felt a little uncomfortable to us and at times we wondered if he was actually working for us or the estate agency! Acted defensively when challenged. His assistant did a lot of the donkey work and things were incomplete and inaccurate (which we had to look into ourselves). Wouldnt use again in any circumstance.”

“Poor communication. Poor service. Only interested in getting job done and getting paid. Not interested in looking out for customer. You put your trust in a professional but I won't ever again with this firm. Shame as we had previously done business together successfully. Also when complained were over a wk beyond their own deadline in replying.”

“I was very happy with the service I received last September when my mother died. I answered the survey you sent me to that effect. However I was very distressed and upset to receive an email a couple of days ago asking Mrs Irene Dawes to answer a survey. As I say above she passed away over 8 months ago! Perhaps you should update your database.”

“Sharon MacDonald in particular is aggressive in her manner of dealing with other parties. It does not help the process and is completely contrary to the information on the website. If you want a solicitor who is going to ease relationships in a divorce do not use this solicitor. Dreadful.”

“each time we went to court they put a replacement barrister as our original legal had to go to another case They had no knowledge of my case and didn't provide support They also got the information discussed in court wrong - which resulted in it being to late to amend I wish I went with my gut and gone to another first after the first month”

“Rude and Incompetent is an understatement. They fail to return calls or emails without constant chasing . They also provide incorrect information when you call and ask for help, Then brush it under the carpet when they finally return your emails.Avoid this firm if you want competent, friendly and efficent staff.”

“in a stressful divorce with is not helped by the aggressive communications coming from these people. If your goal is to stress your ex spouse out then fine however for normal, decent people avoid like they have the plague.”

“I called to ask if they offer a certified copying service, for my driving licence. The receptionist (perhaps in a call centre?) said it was best to go in after 2pm, when their people are back from lunch. When I arrived, I was left waiting for a while. Aware of the time ticking on, the receptionist asked a solicitor who had popped downstairs if she would do it, and she agreed. When I handed her the photocard, she asked for a photocopy of the card. I queried this and said I'd never been asked for this before. "Well, I've ONLY been doing this for 30 years," she replied. I told them to forget it, and that I'm not going to be patronised and belittled in this way. I went to another solicitor straight after who did it immediately and politely. I explained what had happened, and they confirmed they'd never had an instance where a client had brought in a photocopy before. This woman was arrogant, rude and condescending, and I wouldn't hesitate to spread the word about this. Her behaviour fulfilled the stereotype of solicitors.”
