“Hi arrived very swiftly in lovely paper packaging that can be recycled. That pleases me. Bought traditional oven gloves cream with a heat resistant thick cloth for lifting hot trays from oven. Plus a cotton dishcloth which is a large size. It's quite stiff so washed it a couple of times to soften it. These products are quality and a good price. Definitely would recommend this wonderful company. Thank you”

“A parcel from Woods is like an artefact from a lost civilisation: proper brown paper, string, and knots not seen since childhood Girl Guide camp. Worthy of photographic record. Within is a fine box containing an even finer bed sheet, courtesy of Peter Reed. Happy the guest who will sleep on it next Friday. A thousand thanks for such pleasure!”

“The linen pillow cases are fabulous, and I expect them to age very gracefully. The order was dealt with very quickly, and presently wonderfully in brown paper and tied up with string. When I checked the label with some other pillow cases I already had, I expected them to say Woods of Harrogate. Surprised they don't. Just saying... thank you!”

“I visited Harrogate about 10 years ago and came across Woods, where I bought several things. It seemed like a sophisticated Aladdin's cave! Now i am unable to travel the length of the country, so I am happy to shop online. “I purchased 2 Sophie Allport tea towels and double oven gloves for my daughter’s new kitchen. They arrived promptly and were beautifully wrapped in Wood’s monogrammed white and gold tissue paper. I had to warn my daughter the parcel contained practical items and not some designer cashmere! She was delighted with the gift - and the wrapping.”
