Regarding your comments on the publishing delay and the format of the final paper: while we understand how expectations can vary, we want to clarify that our internships are designed to guide students through the process of writing and publishing an academic article, and a review paper is indeed an academic article. It is in fact widely understood within academia that authoring a review paper is the ideal platform for students to quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of the current state of research in a particular field—through synthesizing existing studies, highlighting major trends, and identifying gaps in the literature. This foundational knowledge not only accelerates learning, but also equips students to pursue further, more original research in the future.
It is also the case that papers cannot be published immediately upon completion. Academic papers have to be assessed for quality, and further editing and checks will be needed to properly format the work. This process may take anywhere from several weeks to several months following the students' final submission.
