corrupt sites run by corrupt experts, with high probability that they sell them articles, send new guidelines, but do not respect themselves or at least do not apply to everyone, maybe except for them. and for accomplices these are the clear evidence. guidelines sent in April by Naomi h. and Debora mazza in May read the date of the offers. in the photos, But there are others. opals etc. read the minimum weight in the guidelines and the minimum characteristics.

I wonder how it is possible for me to be denied absolutely all the artworks for 2 months now, by a single expert. I started selling my paintings in February and I think I had a very good start, with wonderful feedback from customers. Later, when this expert started repetitively refusing all my submitted paintings, I started to approach other styles and topics, taking into account that standard feedback that is sent when an object is rejected by this platform. The biggest dilemma I had was when 3 works already accepted, were eventually denied: 1. Lot NO. 56682881 - which was not paid by the winner of that auction (March 18th) and should have automatically entered the next appropriate auction. Please note that the 'Re-auction unpaid objects' option (which provides that "Any unpaid objects will automatically be added to the next applicable auction"), has been active since I made this account. 2. Lot NO. 57585007 and Lot NO. 57529275 (Closed in April 18th) - which I initially submitted with the price reserve, then, for as they did not reach this reserve, I submitted them again without a price reserve and they were rejected by the same expert, who had initially accepted them. I was informed by the site that these objects will no longer go through the evaluation process, following them to enter the next appropriate auction, as well as the lot NO. 56682881. Therefore, I thought that maybe it was an error, so I added these 3 works again and left a message for each, for the expert who was to receive them (same "expert"). In 30 minutes I received the classic email with the standard text for rejected items ...

Awful buyer experience. Item won at auction, i promptly paid, i received no update from seller. Seller was obviously ot happy with hammer and never completed or communicated. Catawiki informed me after 10 days of waiting and asking questions, that they would refund me in another 10 days, they only provided me a partial refund. A complete sham platform when sellers are not more important to buyers, avoid at all costs

I spotted fake product, socalled damascus knives from Japan Damascus pattern is the result of folding steel, every knife is unique. when they offer a set with exact same pattern you know it is lasered. I explained to them, and they agreed, yet still there experts are allowing for these knives to be sold. seems quality assurance is difficult to maintain

After being cheated once, i stupidly thought it was a one off and spent another 400 euros on a pair of earrings. Earrings arrived with clear and big defect. Catawiki expert said my claim was invalid as the defect was visible in a picture on the listing. If the defect was visible in a picture of the listing, then why had this expert who had reviewed the listing, not mentioned that in the description of the listing? Everything is not clearly visible in the pictures provided by the sellers. Buyers depend on the validation provided by catawiki experts to make an honest and informed purchase. Descriptions in most lots are scant on detail and now i see that it is delibrate. Run dont go anywhere near this platform of cheats.

Last month I have purchased (or "won", since it's an auction) 8 different lots through Catawiki. I have had major issues with 2 out of 8 (an artwork was received severely damaged, in another case I have ordered a lot of wine bottles and received different bottles from a different producer). While Catawiki is clearly not directly responsible for these issues, I as appalled by the lack of support I have received from Catawiki in order to obtain redress. Filing complaints is discouraged by the company on their webpage, recommending instead to get in touch and solve the issue directly with the sellers (while at the same time Catawiki gives you only 3 days to report an issue, before they release the payment to the seller). But if sellers prove unhelpful, Catawiki will just show no interest (despite the fact they take a generous cut of the transaction!) and be of zero help. Hence I suspect that the high likelihood of fraudulent sales (2 out of 8 in my case) may not be a coincidence but rather a consequence of Catawiki's inaction when sellers fail to respect their obligations

I bought a ring with tanzanite (lot 41497201) and since it's half lockdown I didn't wear it immediately and I'm not a really look well on it when I received it (also I had trust to catawiki and thought that they have checked it). Anyway around 6-7 days after I received it I found a chip on the stone (a little piece on the side was missing) it was 04.11.20. I made photos and wrote to seller but couldn't attache photos on the platform of Catawiki. Seller answered to me that it's an inclusion (I understand what is inclusion and it's not). So I wrote in support with all photos attached. Passed around 4 days and no answer. I wrote again. And than I decided to change my review on catawiki site (I thought it will help to get some attention to my problem). Meanwhile I found on the photo of the lot the same chip but in the description - nothing only excellent condition and on certificate no mark about any damage. From catawiki I received this: In addition, when you contacted us, your picture attachments also cannot be opened (we also see that the seller is mentioning the same issue). Therefore, we are also not able to have your item re-evaluated by our experts. Seeing that this item is not re-evaluated, we also would like to kindly inform you that we have to remove the feedback you left for the seller. So they didn't ask me to send them photos again! But just changed my review from negative to neutral (at least not good!) and I can't change it anymore (by their rules I have 90 days to do so). And the seller put as a response to my review this: I am very sorry that after a month you think otherwise, first a good evaluation and a month a bad evaluation. Since you do not understand precious stones, I explained that natural stones have natural inclusions, that they are not crystals. Explained in the description of the article and in the IGI Certificate of the stone. You hurt serious sellers, more than 4 years selling on Catawiki and 100% good valuation. They said about after a month - first review was from 31.10.20 and second on 09.11.20 so it's the first lie. And than she keep saying that I don't understand stones - maybe but I think even a child can understand the difference between inclusions and a little hole in stone. If you will go to this lot (I wanted to put a link but it's not possible) and make the main photo big you will see it on the left side a little bit under equator of the stone. On this fact not catawiki's support neither seller doesn't answer and by mysterious reason none of my photos is possible to see! And only after bad review on the site support answered me on the second!!! email. What a mystery! I'll never ever suggest anyone to do any sell or buy with this horrible service. The worst of all. And they get 25% fee in total from the buyer and seller! I'm just happy that my experience was not very expensive. No trust to this company of the thiefs. I'm sorry for my english and the expressions but it's so disappointing!

I bought a Breitling Navitimer from Catawiki, what goes forward 5 min every hour. Experts from Catawiki told that's ok. I returned the watch back to the seller, and now i dont have no watch and no money. So dont buy or sell from Catawiki

Pure fraud Pure fraud . I bid and won a lenticular print by the artist JJ Adams . What I got was an ordinary print which is worth only a fraction of the price of a lenticular print . The expert confirmed it was a lenticular print and provided a high estimate . The customer service is so appealing and a lady called Maisie a senior customer service representative is a joke . Avoid at all costs
