“The experience has deteriorated significantly after purchasing hundreds of items. Now the sellers all seem like top sellers with reliability ratings close to 100%, only because Catawiki support unilaterally deletes or transforms negative seller reviews into neutral ones. This makes the seller's qualifications unreliable, with the risk of purchasing items from sellers whose positive reviews are distorted. Another problem is the cost of shipping since they activated smart shipping, which means paying 3 or 4 times the actual cost. For shipping from Italy to Italy with the Post Office, they charge between €20 and €30. A disgrace. I will never buy from Catawiki again.”

“I wish I could give them no starts. They have done away with any phone support and live chat. They force you to correspond via email, which is unmonitored and they don't answer. I've sent at least 40 emails regarding two issues (fault of the seller/I am the buyer) neither of us can get any assistance, I've been a long term customer of Catawiki, but the frustration in trying (and failing) to get anything resolved has pushed me away for good. It's a shame when a company could care less for their sellers or buyers.”

“I purchased a rug but on arrival it was the wrong colour for the room. I immediately attempted to re list it to sell. Was kept waiting for 3 weeks then after numerous enquiries was sent a refusal note that meant I could not sell it. When pressed the reason given was that it had already been sold. ? I have tried to get clarification but have been summarily ignored. Would not recommend this site to anyone after this”

“Extremely frustrated with Catawiki's submission process. I have tried to list great quality Pokémon items multiple times, only for them to be repeatedly rejected.Initially, the experts claimed my items did not meet their €50 minimum value threshold. To fix this, I grouped more items together to easily clear that threshold, but they still rejected the lot anyway. Their valuation is completely inaccurate based on current market prices.It feels like the experts are highly biased they accept identical objects from other sellers while constantly rejecting my lots. They make it incredibly difficult for genuine sellers to get approved. Catawiki's expert system needs a major upgrade and a serious review for consistency and fairness.”

“Catawiki refuses to take any responsibility for damaged deliveries that were deliberately soiled, along with irregularities regarding shipping costs. My file (lots 104360370 and 104347051) has been with them for a long time, but customer service simply refuses to review the 27 pieces of evidence and the unboxing video via Google Drive. To top it all off, following a request from the seller, employee Yan simply removed my negative feedback from their own platform under the pretext of 'insufficient information'. This proves exactly how Catawiki silences consumers to secure their own commission. This platform and its employees are completely unreliable.”

“There was a problem with a item ( the display doesn’t work properly) that problem wasn’t in the description. The seller assumes that there was a problem but didn’t assume the refund. The catawaki platform also didn’t assume. With pay a extra tax for protection of the consumer and maintenance the quality standards. Maybe they are right if the quality standards they want to follow are so low as they demonstrated everything is okay. There is also a specialist in every auction but clearly is not for guaranty the quality”

“To je jedna od najgorih aukcijskih kuća. Kvazi "experti", su obični mufljuzi. Pojma nemaju. Provizije su im strahovito visoke. Uzimaju po 20% provizije za prodaju, i onda još Payoneer,njihova partnerska firma, uzima po 6% za transfer novaca. Također naplačuju i proviziju kupcima. Ovo je jedna reket organizacija. Bolje je NEMATI posla preko njih.”

“I’ve lost over 400 euros because they tell the buyer about their Buyers Protection Policy if you don’t get a delivery, you have to pay for this too! Three deliveries did not arrive and I had to pay. It’s ridiculous how they do business! I have read many similar reviews. I just wish I did my homework prior to using there very untrustworthy site.”

“Purchased item. Never delivered stopped tracking after the 17th of February 2026. I realized that with weather and distance it would be slow. I waited 30 days to ask for help. No help offered, they had paid out the seller. They know when a package was delivered as they have a banner on the sale page asking. I never reported it as delivered. They charge for "Buyer Protection" They did nothing to protect my payment. The response I got was telling me I waited too long. I did not know there was a time limit on asking for help. Would not trust this company......”

“ik heb meerdre keren spullen gekocht via catawiki en dat ging vrijwel altijd goed. Onlangs iets gekocht dat zodanig slecht verpakt was door de verzender dat dit defect aangekomen was (terwijl het nog wel een metalen voorwerp was). Omdat het pakket, na veel vertraging door de verzender, in mijn vakantie was aangekomen was ik volgens catawiki te laat met mijn klacht. Op de foto die ik geleverd had van de ondermaatse verpakking en het defecte voorwerp was duidelijk te zien dat de fout bij de verzender lag. Maar daar werd over heen gestapt en alleen vermeld dat de klacht te laat was binnen gekomen en daarom ongegrond werd verklaard. Vervolgens werd mijn review over de klachtafhandeling door catawiki verwijderd, daar willen ze alleen maar goed nieuws hebben en mag blijkbaar niet duidelijk worden hoe gemakkelijk ze zich van een klacht afmaken. Een dikke onvoldoende voor catawiki”

“Catawiki plaatst geen kritische reviews Ondanks mijn bewijs met foto's van meerdere mankementen aan het product wordt mijn review verwijderd en niet meer geplaatst. Een review die op een nette manier geschreven vertelt dat de verkoper bewuste mankementen heeft verzwegen en ook niet heeft gefotografeerd. Ik hoef helemaal geen geld terug maar wil wel graag andere kopers waarschuwen voor deze malafide verkoper. Maar dat mag niet, alleen positieve beoordelingen worden geplaatst, zo als, "goed verpakt" of "snel verzonden". De hele site staat er vol mee. Dus al die lachende gezichtjes bij de reviews hebben geen enkele waarde. Want veel boze gezichtjes zou omzet verlies kunnen betekenen. Ook de z.g.n. koperbescherming stelt niets voor en is alleen kassa voor het platform.”

“I received a damaged item , I fulfilled ALL of Catawiki`s jump through hoop requirements and was told my complaint had been dropped as I didn't send required documents in time, although I had. The seller didn't even reply to my messages ! NOT SURPRISING THEIR FEEDBACK RATING IS APPALING AS THEIR SERVICE. Buyer beware.”
