Unfortunately when in a need of assistance their guest service doesn't work. Almost impossible to get the line through, while through messages on their website not always answering to the question & the delay of answer take more then a week, sometime without answers. Si vous avez un problème à régler bonne chance car leurs lignes (télephone) ne fonctionnent pas et il faut s'armer de patience pour arriver à être connecter, avec des réponses parfois très évasive. Via message sur le site, les réponses prennent plus de 10 jours et les réponses aussi evasives que par téléphone. En bref comme beaucoup de ses companies de services en ligne, le service après vente est catatrophique.

Hi,catawiki is for me the biggest scammer site that I came across. At 71 I decided to present myself with a nice watch.i bid for an RSW watch,won and paid 773 euro. Getting it was the first scenario, so I phoned catawiki,spoke with Faith,Davy,iris,sjahoen,every time the same story,emails by the dozen,always answered by the companion Cronorama. Finally I get the watch and yes I did not work,went to a jeweler for a repair quote, 850 euro he mailed. I write this because I think people should know what can happen when you bye from Catawiki and there partner Cronorama. Regards

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Acquired jewelry through Catawiki, only to unveil a disappointing fraud. The pieces, purportedly from an Israeli seller, were exposed as counterfeit, with stones deceptively enhanced and sold as natural! The lot, initially valued at 15.000+ euros, ultimately revealed its true worth of a mere 500-600 euros (Paid 3800 euro). Customer service was totally absent, and my negative feedback mysteriously vanished! ALERT!!! AVOID!!!

I bought a great number of things. Every time you buy, you pay 9% for insurance. When I received an item that was in terrible condition and certainly not matching its description, they basically closed the case without much investigation. Apparently “very good condition with small signs of use” includes rusted through, dented and black-spotted items. Your insurance and guarantee are worth nothing if the seller decides to mess with you

If in Europe avoid any purchase outside Europe (particularly Japan). Most of the time you will have to pay tax twice through Catawiki (Euro 110 & then to DHL Euro 178.50). You supposed to get a reimbursement from Catawiki but it didn't worked who then recomlanded to go directly through the seller who is not answering. Dommage !!!!!

Sold a painting. Buyer give me a negative feedback, but never send me pictures or other evidence. Catawiki asked to solved this and remove or chance this incorrect feedback Since med. Januari I’m waiting for the answer or actions by Catawiki. They did’t made contact with me! This is not the first time, member since medio 2013, sold en buy since then.

I have successfully bid for and bought a ladies wedding ring and diamond earrings on Catawiki. Both arrived promptly from an EEU country, but were smaller in size than I had thought. Never the less both items were of good quality and otherwise matched the description.The lesson I learned is that I will not bid on similar items, unless I know the size, as a close up photo can be unintentionally misleading. For example, as I found out, a .46ct diamond is very small, but it looked big in the photograph. I also successfully bid 400 Euros for a 6.25ct Ruby and diamond ring to be delivered to me in Spain from the seller in Taiwan, but it ended up costing me some 709 €. The ring had to go through Spanish customs and that caused a lot of delay.DHL were slow at providing me with the details that the Spanish customs required, some of which I had to send to DHL twice. There were also VAT charges of 107 € and import charges of 12.50 €, and DHL charged 50 € for clearing the ring through customs. Delivery from Taiwan was 100 € and buyers protection was 39 € . Total some 709 € . My bid was accepted on the 26th of December and it was eventually delivered on the 17th of January. In the future I will only buy from an EEU seller, as with the 300 € extra in charges, I could have bought a more expensive ring. Lesson learned ! That apart, the ring was all I expected it to be and my wife was delighted with it. It came in an nice box. The seller was excellent and I would deal with them again.

Never received the ring of 1.000 euro I ordered plus 178 on costs. They do not call back and when on the phone, they offer to pay back around half the amount as they claim the ring had been sent back by DHL and I have to pay transportation twice.

Not an honest website with “experts” rather disrespect your items rather than saying they don’t have to knowledge to determine the worth. Very sketchy and diminishing as it once was a good website. I hope it will become less corrupted by insecurity and fake ambition in the future.

Hi there ...too bad i got here too late! It is pointless i repeat my story which is so similar to many others already published. So just stay away from CATAwiki Just one side note: i tried to unsubscribe from their web-site even if i still have the dispute open but i couldn't do that. Since i do not want anything to do with them anymore....the fun goes on! Cheers D. PS They deserve 0 star not 1!

Hello, I'm trying to be refunded for an order that didn't arrive and I encounter a wall with Catawiki Support team. I'm struggling for a month and 6 days to get my money back and still can't do it. On the opposite, after my claim they modified the delivery date to a date in the future so I can't be refunded. This is a shame for this platform I initially trusted...

When the seller is decent, everything goes fine. When not - about one of ten - the problems begin and persist. The "support" of Catawiki is overwhelming slow, or it just doesn't exist. No matter how many times you try. You'd better think twice before bidding any expensive items, you may never see it or your money again. Never pay more than is ok for you to lose. Many sellers are selling fake "historical artifacts" from year to another. The name of the company just changes maybe once a year, but you can recognize the seller from the same fake objects and similar stories. It would be easy to block these sellers, but Catawiki doesn't do that, because its their business to sell anything, I mean anything. It's sad to see people losing hundreds or thousands of euros to chinese cheap copies. Some sellers keep on not sending products, if they don't reach price good enough, altough they had no reserve price. And Catawiki just lets this happen. Are the representatives just smoking weed? Do your job! I have bought many good things in a good price, but also lost some money and time in this modern bazaar of stuff and scum.

I have also bad experience with Catawiki. Bought wristwatch from shop van HORLOGEMAN. after few days watch stooped. I wrote bad review on thair homepage. Shop van HORLOGEMAN contacted me, to send them item back on thair experiences and they will do the service and send me back. It can not get in tuch with them and Catawiki eather. I sent few massages and no one replied. I can't even contact Catawiki and all my massages are gone. :(

STAY AWAY!! Bought jewelry from Israel seller, turned out to be fake & enhanced stones sold as natural! Lot was estimated at 13.500 euro, was only worth 200-300 euro (Paid 1800). Customer service non existing AND my negative feedback was removed?!? FRAUD!!!! STAY!!! AWAY!!!

STAY AWAY. THESE PEOPLE ARE SHITS. I USED THE SITE FOR SEVERAL YEARS (WITH SOME PROBLEMS WHICH TOOK SO LONG TO RESOLVE, I DIDN'T KNOW IF I'D STILL BE ALIVE) UNTIL NOW. I TRIED TO COMMUNICATE WITH 2 SELLERS TO CHANGE THE SHIPPING ADDRESS ( WHICH WOULD ALSO CHANGE THE AMOUNT TO BE PAID) BUT CATAWIKI WILL NOT ALLOW BUYERS TO MESSAGE SELLERS UNTIL YOU PAY INVOICE. I EMAILED CATAWIKI AT BOTH SUPPORT (NON EXISTENT) AND AT INFO A TOTAL OF 9 TIMES WITHOUT A REPLY AND THEN FINALLY A HALF-ASSED REPLY: SEE OUR HELP PAGE.THIS IS THE ONLY AUCTION SITE I KNOW OF WHICH BLOCKS SUCH MESSAGES BETWEEN BUYERS AND SELLERS. Une premiere experience cahotique (surtout dû au transporteur), la 2eme a été une excellente expérience de bout en bout ! Le service du transporteur proposé par CATAWIKI suite 1ere expérience, au top, merci beaucoup pour la qualité de votre prestation et des produits ! (Et non, je n'ai pas davantages à rédiger ce message, je trouve surtout que râler est facile, féliciter prend plus de temps.)

Absolute scam! Those who gave a positive reviews should indicate what they have bought unless they are friends or get paid to put a positive reviews. How could this be possible ,just think about it why sellers would sell they expensive things under price?
