Absolutely DO NOT purchase anything through Catawikifrom the UK. They claim delivery of the item ( someone is here 24/7 to take delivery) but surprise, no note of an attempted delivery posted; no advice card on where to collect and pay the associated customs charges so I was unable to do so THEN they say that they could'nt deliver and I had'nt paid the customs charges. They are out and out thieves 301 euros stolen from me and now asking I pay customs charges because it was delivered back to the vendors! SCAMMERS STAY AWAY

I would be very cautious about spending a significant amount of money on this company. If, by any chance you receive an item that doesn't match the description you will have a hard time getting your money back. I received what was supposed to be a bright yellow gold necklace but it turned out to be a dark colour, almost like mustard, and the size was also inaccurate. I contacted Catawiki and provided evidence via email. However, I found Catawiki's customer service to be very unhelpful, unprofessional and unpleasant. Despite sending them numerous emails requesting to return the item and receive a refund, they were uncooperative. It was evident from the photos I sent them that the weight and colour did not match the seller's description. Instead of assisting they even threatened to block my Catawiki account if I contacted my bank to open a dispute. This involves a substantial amount of money €1406.30. I feel like I've been robbed. Catawiki undoubtedly has the worst customer service and its reputation is questionable.

Catawiki accepted payment of 370 Euro for an item and never sent it. Years of chasing them and I have given up. They are 100% dodgy!

This website's an absolute 100% scam, hawking worthless jewelry labeled as top-notch, but it's all a sham, cloudy white and useless diamonds of $5 being hyped up and "appraised" for $1000!! Sellers pass off synthetic diamonds as real deal, swapping certificates/and or the stones to cover their spiel, and Catawiki allows this since nothing happens against the larger moneymule-sellers. Also, they've got exclusive deals with big sellers (the moneymules) in Israel, wiping out any bad reviews they get selling their JUNK on Catawiki with fraudulent certificates. Total fraud! INTERPOL should wipe out these M#Th3rF*ck3rs!!!!

Catawiki has got a sketchy, unreliable, unresponsive support and a failing website that is often missing important functional parts that are necessary to contact the support and to view account features etc.

Be carefull with estimations of jewellery!!! They overestimate the value of jewellery and diamonds so they can have high bids . The quality of their jewellery is very bad !!! They work with certificates that no one recognise . Avoid that company . Only catawiki accept it so they can make money

This is an update on my earlier report. I purchased a watch which a Catawiki "expert" certified to be in very good condition. It is a piece of junk which Seiko Ireland has certified cannot be repaired. I complained within the three day period, gave details of the defects in the watch, told Catawiki not to pay the seller and demanded the return of my money. I received no reply despite many reminders sent inside and outside the three day period. Finally, following a long delay, a reply was received which denied that I complained within the three days and nothing could be done. It is clear that the person who replied had not read my complaints and the reply was a pro forma generic response which failed to address the several issues which I had raised. I will be pursuing the matter through appropriate authority but in the meantime I strongly advise against dealing with Catawiki as it a fraudulent company. Since dealing with Catawiki, I am receiving constant correspondence from other on line auction houses asking me to participate in their auctions. These other companies were supplied with my personal data including my name and email address and I believe Catawiki gave my details. This is worrying because I gave Catawiki details of my bank account in order to purchase the defective watch. This company should be avoided at all costs and personal data should not be supplied as they are totally untrustworthy.

My first order with CataWiki: for delivery I had to pick the package up from a UPS pickup point. Odd, since I paid € 38 in shipping. Checked the costs on the UPS website: standard delivery from Italy to Netherlands with pick up would have costed not even € 20. Catawiki states on its website: "Should the actual costs of shipping be lower than the calculated fee, the seller will directly reimburse the buyer for the overpaid costs." So I contacted the seller: said he would get back to me. And then stopped answering messages. So I contacted CataWiki for support since there is no FAQ page on this. Alas, their customer chat service doesn't work: no one answers at all. And to send a mail, you first need to install the Catawiki app. It is impossible to contact CataWiki via mail without the app even if you have an account on their website. I wrote a message clearly stating my question and it took them five days to reply with an AI message. That message didn't address my question at all. If it wouldn't solve my issue, it redirected me to the FAQ or try again. I gave the seller a negative review. He objected, but did not provide any payment proof. I complained to CataWiki again, now also about their service. Now an actually person answered my query: ask the seller for reimbursement. Which I did yet again. As a courtesy for the inconvenience caused, CataWiki provided me with a 10 euro voucher for my next bid. It's a gesture appreciated but it did not resolve the issue. I pointed this out, and they contacted the seller. Nothing came out of that. I won't be ordering via Catawiki again. And I discourage anyone to do so. It works until it doesn't. Sellers can ask whatever they want for delivery. If you need customer support, the service is abysmal. I paid 9% + € 3 for buyer protection, but I didn’t feel protected.

Cannot delete Account. I created a new account at Catawiki then stumbled on the mine of bad reviews from both buyers and sellers. I decided to delete my account within the settings on their App as advised. I received an email saying they are sorry I am leaving. But afterwards, I continue to be able to log in to this account without any verification … only an email to tell me that I am to reset password if it is not me. STAY CLEAR OF CATAWIKI.

It is a fraud. Catawiki tells you that the law in EU of canceling a buy before 14 days do not applay to them. It is not correct

I bought a fine bottle of wine for a gift. It was delivered to the wrong address. After over 2 weeks I still haven't received details on where was the bottle. Specially been in the hottest time in summer. I was concern and contacted Catawiki customer service. They simply asked me to search for the bottle at the wrong delivered address, then I to ship it to seller. Putting myself as responsible (not regarding the inconvenient of ringing every flat to search for the bottle) and hoping that the seller would accept the bottle after been over 2 months in super hot temperature... Nice customer protection... NOT. So imagine to trust them with all personal datas and credit cards

hi, This is an update on my complaint sent 2 weeks ago. I still have not received a reply to any of my complaints pointing out that the watch I purchased (certified by Catawiki's "expert" as in great working condition) is nothing more than scrap metal which cannot be repaired (as certified by Seiko Ireland). When I studied fraud at university, I learned that the most successful fraudsters steal a little money from a lot of people rather than large sum from less people. This way, the fraudster's crimes go undetected for longer and he can accumulate more money in the long term. Silence is another characteristic of the fraudster as comment is dangerous and will lead to his crimes being detected sooner. The above neatly describes the describes the modus operandi of Catawiki. Victims should unite and make a common complaint to the Netherland police as unity is strength and the police will find it easier to gather evidence and prosecute successfully if more people complain as the fraud becomes obvious when multiple complaints are read.

Won two lots from the same seller. Seller doesn’t agree with the price he gets for the lots. I then get my orders cancelled by Catawiki. Absolute trash customer service. They don’t respond to email and their chat function is terrible. The customer service is rude and dismissive and just ignores the blatant lies of the expert who covered up the cancellation under false pretenses. If you don’t want to sell under an amount, set a reserve price. Don’t cancel after the auction, break the agreement, and make the buyer email, chat and be frustrated just to get his money back, and waste all this time. Absolute trash.

I would not use this auction company. They don't prominently disclose little things that prevent you from getting your item like, a $100 ring they claimed could not be sent to the United States and when I went to the trouble of having a friend potentially pick it up in Paris they put the wrong shipping label on it so he couldn't pick it up anyway. They finally refunded my money and I'll be done with them forever. I highly recommend not using this company. There are many other auction companies with better disclosures and procedures.

account blocked, this is the real reason why your articles are never accepted, not because they are not good but because they are very likely to favor accounts or are more likely to be linked to them, otherwise they would have no problem. When you ask for explanations they make up everything and in the end they block your account so as not to bother you. French expert in wedding rings favors 3 unique French accounts to sell, same photos, same finger even if sometimes the expert has recently changed tactics, buys items on eBay and resells on Catawiki, Italian expert in decorative minerals favors three accounts, same photos, different sellers buys on eBay for little money and resells on Catawiki. .FALSE GUIDELINES CORRUPT CRIMINAL SITE DICTATORIAL MAFIA STYLE. HERE ARE THE PHOTOS. AND YOU CAN ALSO check yourself in person.

You already know perfectly what went wrong and your pretence at ignorance is fooling nobody. I purchased a Seiko watch on the basis of an "expert " opinion that the watch was in very good condition when it is totally unfair for purpose. You have refused completely to reply to my correspondence making complaint and demanding my money back in accordance with contract. Before you took my money you communicated with me freely and often. I have now read the many reviews from people who have had similar experience and a definite modus operandi is evident. I intend to take action alone, if necessary. I have a professional background over many years in the investigation of fraud and the regulation of service providers. In addition, I am proposing to urge fellow victims to take the following immediate steps: 1. Set up an independent website for victims free of access or control by Catawiki and its fake positive reviewers. 2. Make a joint complaint to Netherlands police. 3. Notify the police forces of domestic states for liaison purposes with Netherlands police on behalf of all all victims and prosecution of conspirators in their domestic jurisdictions . 4. Advise victims to notify MEPs in their domestic states of their complaints with a view to seeking strict and comprehensive EU regulation of online auction houses which is ineffective at present. Your questions below are ridiculous. I give less than O* rating for customer service. You have completely failed to reply to my queries. The Irish State has closed down and imprisoned fraudulent financial service providers as they were damaging Ireland's trading reputation just as Catawiki damages the good reputation of the Netherlands as a trading nation.

Complete scam. Complete scam. They send you broken items. You get a few hours to complain, then after over x amount of days you get a few hours to arrange return or they get to keep your money if you can't make 4 hours free of working hours to arrange the return of worthless broken items that they charged a minimum of almost 200 euros payment and the keep unless you find packing material and a printer before the courier is knocking Great gamble on their part.

I recently entered two antique oil lamps for auction on Catawiki. The lamps had years ago been bought for around 200 Euros each. I wanted to put in a reserve price, but was told that this was not possible and that the starting price should be set low to attract bidders. I trusted their advice, and the pieces were sold at a price of 1 Euro each! After the sale I received an e-mail asking if I was hungry for more. Needles to say I declined. This organisation is completely incompetent and I would strongly recommend against using them
