“I had a bad experience with Fiverr.
Firstly I liked my resume but after I paid in advance and tipped and encouraged the resume -writer,
Later the same day I requested for a cover letter with a good price because I had paid more than what we talked for the resume.
She accepted and right away she charged me and never delivered me the cover letter.
She said I had canceled it but even if I did their company charged me anyway.
She charged me a resume with a high price although I said I didn’t afford more than a certain amount and she didn’t deliver my cover letter because she said: How can I deliver you when you have cancelled? Also they never refunded me the price for cover letter and finally I paid the double price of what I said I afforded. All of this happened because a recruiter told me I have to make a good resume and then later she disappeared. I am really disappointed.”
“I just started out on Fiverr. Thought I had a gig but tried collect funds and was told by their help chat that I needed $200 in my account to get started. Nowhere does it state in the terms and conditions that you need this amount.”
“I have been scammed. I paid for a professional product and what I got was just awful, could have been done by a teenager. Tried to work with the person, but she cannot even copy-paste a job title accurately. Spent hours online with their 'support' who wanted me to send screenshots of what was missing. Why would I pay for something and then do the work myself? I will initiate a chargeback and leave this review wherever I can, so others can be warned.”
“Fiverr offers plenty of services for sure, however I find their system rigid to adjust to seller’s needs at times from my experiences, which I find disappointingly unfair at times. They also take a 10% commission from both buyers and sellers purely for providing their website. If you’re buying, you’re fine, but if you’re selling, be aware their system can be annoyingly frustrating at times”
“I needed a flyer made more appealing and found someone who did a good job quickly. After completing and tipping (fiverr takes a fee of both project and tips) I started to receive cold solicitations for work. I deleted my account, but they still come and customer service won’t do jack about it. Don’t use the platform if you like having privacy and not using your time to sift through these solicitations.”
