Horrible service. They simply deleted our account, we have no acess to any data aymore. no warning, no explanation. Spent half hour with their customer service, thye told us we can create a new one, the old one is gone. can't recomment at all. Stay away.

Square cost me my largest account! I setup my account and my first transaction was $10,800 and the card went through but the funds were put on hold until they verified various things. I sent them everything, and after 4 days they deactivated the account with no explanation, I called and they had no explanation. I lost my customers order because it missed the shipment window and they have stated they will move their business to someone else.

Only getting one star because I had to to write a review. As I’m reading other reviews I see A LOT of people have had the same issue. My husband used it before, no problems. This time, they requested he send in invoices and other documents to complete the transaction. All that was requested, was submitted to them. Got an email this morning, stating they terminated his account and will release his $5900 in 90 days. Although they already charged my husbands clients credit card. So they keep our money for 90 days, for what?!?! Called customer service and they are useless as well. Not sure how they get by withholding peoples money with absolutely no reason as to why!

Warning to Merchants: Be Careful with Square Square has shown clear bias toward fraudulent customers. As a merchant, I experienced a chargeback situation where a customer bought my product and then fraudulently disputed the charge. Instead of supporting the business, Square sided with the customer and did nothing to protect me or investigate the fraud properly. This kind of behavior feels like a betrayal to those of us who rely on their platform. I’m deeply disappointed and feel that Square's policies open the door for scam buyers to exploit honest sellers. Merchants, be cautious—your hard work and income may not be safe here.

They claimed to have no record of me even though I have used their service a few years ago. I tried to reactivate my square account since I own a terminal and just opened my new business , they essentially lost my previous account , then denied my identity and referred me to another terminal provider . Makes no sense at all. Selling my POS terminal . Will never do business with them again.
