“Overall the Swytch conversion works really well. It is relatively light, charges quickly, and the range specification is very accurate. The kit was pretty easy to install, except for one issue: mtb forks may require the smaller diameter axle, so be sure to measure and specify that information when ordering. Also if installing on an mtb, consider ordering (if your frame configuration or seat/dropper post will allow) an alternate position mount kit because the handlebar mounting may cause too much weight on the front. Nevertheless, the first kit worked out so well we ordered a second one for another mtb. Two things that can be improved are how long the kit takes to arrive (needs to be shorter) and the slow response when requesting support or asking questions.”

“Great piece of kit, easy to fit and easy to use. Only observation would be that the number of cables from the battery holder could be limited to the number of accessories you purchase/don’t purchase I.e., don’t include brake lines if not purchased as it is confusing.”

“Love it! Needed help to fit the kit. The frame tubing is more angular than round but we managed it and now the bike is great and I am cycling loads, not having cycled for years before getting the Swytch.”

“It’s brilliant, I absolutely love riding my bike now, it did take a while to arrive but I was aware of that when I ordered, very simple to fit, little book supplied details everything you need to know, I only ever use mond on the minimum setting so get good range, perhaps if your thinking of doing long distances a second battery could be a good option. Really glad I made the swytch !”

“Ordered kit. Meanwhile I fell down walking on steep trail. Complete rupture of quadriceps tendon. So delayed by two surgeries and 4 months of antibiotics. Kit simple to install. Able to ride up some hills (still pedaling). Feels good. Little tricky on extra sharp slow turn around on gravel road. Pedal it goes. So far so good. On the road again. 71 year old man in the woods.”

“I began to get worried when promised delivery dates came and went but once the kit arrived it fitted easily and I am delighted with it's performance. Full disclosure: I'm a life long cyclist living in Spain who's nearer 80 than 70 and have been using the kit outside of it's intended use. As It's been a few years since I've wanted to climb some of the mountain passes here I use the assist to help on the very steep parts and ride the rest myself. Turning around at the summit I can descend easily even with a spent battery. With a little forethought 40Km rides in the high mountains are now possible again. If there was an easy way to carry a second battery or Swytch offered a way to extend the range I would be placing an order. Downsides: My initial build had the battery as high as possible but I found that it adversely affected the handling, particularly in high winds, a ten minute fix. Very slow and tight turns need my full attention as the motor can "assist" with just a little pedal pressure causing a wider turning circle than expected. I've swapped bikes with a few riding buddies and they've all been "converted".”

“A quick and easy way to convert you old bike to an electric assisted bike. Everything you need is there in the box. It took less than an hour to fit the kit. In fact it took longer to charge the battery, so I’d start that off charging while to fit your kit.”
