“For a smaller extension for a owner installer client working in Construction. Purchased one window and one sliding door. (looking to replace the rest of the existing windows following the initial installation) Great price. Great quality. (recommend the upgraded lock feature) Arrived on time and as expected. Packaging great and true frame alignment. The instructions refer to spacer bars but it was clarified that normal spacers would be sufficient. Still awaiting confirmation of the thermal performance to be submitted to Building Control although I have been reassured this complies over the phone. I was surprised at the narrow clear width of the sliding door for an 1800 sliding door. To be fair intended for trade installers I had some difficulty getting the top fixings into the steel lintel but to be fair that does not reflect on AWM. Followed the measuring advice which was very helpful as the existing brick openings not true. I measured the openings with the old windows still in and might recommended some guidance is added to take in account steel lintels which are typically covered in sealant joint and only apparent once the old windows have been removed. In retrospect I could have checked that before by locally cutting seal out. (Measure twice and cut once and all that...!) Some guidance to confirm the depth of the cill piece required would be usefull. All in all would use again subject to thermal performance datasheet being provided.”
“Excellent website followed clear instructions how to size my new door with a phone call to assistant who went through my measurements and confirmed I had done them correctly. Order placed with a lead time between 2-3 weeks received email day later with a date (16 days) received txt day before with a 2 hr time slot and sure enough door arrived with an hour to spare. Excellent finish and quality am really pleased had just wished I had gone here sooner as I would have safed a pretty penny on what my front door cost me. Highly recommend and will definitely order again.”
“Ordered my door arrived as promised.When installer came to fix the door the protective coating was removed and then we could see a 55cm long crease on the outside face of the door ( if the door is not foil faced but painted it is a run in the paint ). I reported this complaint by E.mail including a photo on the 8th July 23 and as yet I have had no reply from AWM the manufacturer. Not very good customer relations.”
