“This might be the coolest piece of tech I’ve gotten to test on a tennis court. The baselinevision machine is fantastic. We played 2 sets today. Haven’t really found a negative remark to make.
Pros:
1. Put the volume up and it makes all your calls for you. If you disagree you can walk over to your phone and challenge the call and get a replay just like on TV. The only downside right now is you can’t zoom in on the call.
2. It is very accurate. We have have disagreed on a total of 3 calls but when challenging it the spot of the ball was accurate we just didn’t agree it had missed.
3. It records your time on the court and you can later download the video and review it (I haven’t yet)
4. The stats offered is out of this world. As you can see in the pictures above, you get a breakdown of every area of the game except strike and direction. We aren’t sure how accurate the speed is yet. I don’t know any other app that is this easy use and gives you the data of where on the court you are standing for each stroke.
5. Installations takes 30 seconds to attach to the net post. Start the app. Select your option. Allow the machine to scan the court and then begin playing. If you switch sided you tap the switch button. The only self input is the score.
If you have a few friends you routinely play with I highly recommend this product. I get nothing from this post. My boss got one and wanted me to try it this morning. Loved it for set. Loved it for a hitting lesson that followed. Great for recreational match play or even league play!”
“I was impressed the moment I opened the box. The carrying case is incredibly cool. My favorite feature is how easy it is to set up. Unlike similar products from other companies that require mounting on a high fence or using a tripod, this one attaches to the net post, which is always present on any tennis court, so I can bring it with confidence. In terms of functionality, I love being able to see detailed stats, and the gamification mode is extremely exciting. I’m really looking forward to trying new games!”
“Hello, at first I was full of anticipation. However, the enthusiasm at the first impression has decayed very quickly. The reliability of the system is not so good. Then hardware was also missing. In Germany, we have square net posts, but the hardware is for round posts, although they should be square in the advertising. But were not. Only after asking was I told that there are no more in stock. But should come soon. I'll wait. Then I don't think it interacts as well with the software as it could be helpful as a coach. All in all, not yet convinced”
Sorry to hear your experience is not as expected.
- Regarding reliablity: Have you been in touch with us regarding any specific issue to see if we can help? There are many things we can do at the support level.
- Square posts adapter: We are aware of the need to join an adapter to every order, but that hasn't been possible yet logistically. We are actively working on this. In the meantime, we ask customers to request it when ordering and add it on demand, free of charge. Sorry to hear this took longer in your case. We'll ship yours as soon as possible
- It would be very helpful if you could send us a note at support@baselinevision.com regarding your software interaction issue. We'd like to understand a little bit better and help as much as we can

“I’ve Ben using the baseline Vision camera since January 2024. And it’s improving since the beginning. I used it at practice course as well on official match during tournaments. And now with the new update my opponents and I can I have the same datas than the pro on tv and it is amazingly good. It s so great to have your data right away and know what you have to adapt or change your game. You got also some game to play to improve your skills. All my opponents were amazed by the camera and the data. It’s really simple to use with the app on the phone. It ‘s worth the price. It ‘s really cool to see the analysis of your game. I can recommend it to all player who want to progress!!”
“We have been working with Baselinevision at our tennis academy for 18 months and are thrilled. It takes our teaching to a new level and that's a good thing and motivates us coaches and our students.
Learning success is guaranteed.”
“I love my Baseline Vision! It is easy to set up and connect. As a coach, it provides a lot of information and feedback for my students and my own game that I can use to teach, as well as fun games to play to keep lessons motivated and engaged. I am happy with my purchase 8 months later.”
“Positive:
- Good for pratice of 2 players with the current challenges.
- Intersting to deep into statistic and look for improvement
Negative
- When the court is partly in the shadow the line calling is very innacurate for most far lines
- Limited exercises... would love to get more choice
- The match mode is not able to stay connected for more than 20/25mn..
Suggestion:
- I'm using the freestyle mode for Serve practice, but a Service practice mode with only service square considered good would be nice, also displaying some serve stats when touching a point on the screen (speed) I guess the serve speed is measured at the net level?”
Hi,
We've been trying to reach out but since the review had no name on it has been complicated.
We care about your satisfaction and we'd like to try and understand where your accuracy issues might come from. Could you reach out to us at support@baselinevision.com ?
We'd be happy to help

“Amazing piece of equipment, very good customer support too. This has changed the way to coach and help players with their development technically and tactically.
It’s only going to get better!”
“The idea is very good and the two games, deeper and the 2-minute challenge, are fun to play. The problem with the camera is the many wrong decisions, especially when a ball is near a line or when the ball touches the net but goes over the net. In about 80% of these situations, the baseline camera makes a wrong decision. But it is possible that I have a camera that is not working properly. We only use the camera for the two games because in freestyle mode it's just frustrating to hear "out" when the ball hits the court 5 cm before the baseline.”
“The cam is not so stabil, sometimes it’s OUT and the cam stays silent. The match function after update doesn’t work, the cam doesn’t know when we serve. So we don’t know if the serve is IN or OUT.
Near the installed cam, sees the line of doubles very rarely. Maybe the installation has to be not on the Net? Shall we use an extra column behind the Net column? Please give me instructions!
Thank you”
“Hallo
“As an amateur weekend player, I am generally satisfied with the Baseline Vision. It's really helpful especially for “hitting deep” practice.
I'm looking forward to the future improvements on “Play Match” feature, like automatic scoring, etc.
Here's a few things on the Baseline that would be nice to get improved:
(1)
Vast majority of tennis court surface in Japan is “sand filled artificial grass”, a.k.a. “Omni court”.
Sometimes it looks ambiguous for the Baseline Vision to determine if the ball is in or out.
It would be nice if the accuracy on sand filled artificial grass courts improved.
(2)
It would be super nice to have the option to switch Baseline Vision's voice between several options.
Most Japanese people don't like to stand out :-), and they would prefer another voice of much softer version.
Keep up the further development. To all the developers and engineers, thank you so much.”
Hi Kohji,
Thanks for sharing the feedback! We're glad your experience has been positive so far 🙌
1. We're releasing new updates every few weeks to improve accuracy on all types of courts. In the meantime, playing in good lighting and on courts where lines are very clearly marked should help 🙂
2. Great idea about the voice – we'll pass it to our developers!
“Hello i m using the camera since the first of January. I’m using it during lesson, practice and match. There were some bugs of accuracy at the beginning but now it much better. The match mode is really good. There are still some improvements to make for exemple the automatic switch side, but still it is very enjoyable.”
Hi Renaud
Many thanks for the feedback!
We are working hard on improving performance constantly and bring new capabilities!
Automatic sides switch is high in our priorities and we are working on it as we speak. We hope to release it very soon, when it will meet our quality standards!
“Definitely improving with each revision. Love the match play option. The line calling with the latest firmware has improved the line calling and it seems very accurate. Still has trouble tracking high lobs though. Excited to see how much more it will improve.”
Thanks Jason for your feedback.
We're doing our maximum to constantly improve performance and bring new features.
We are aware of the difficulties with high lobs and this will be addressed as well in the upcoming versions. Stay tuned!
“Love the concept, need first serve/second serve stats, sometimes not completely close accurate wise, does speed get tracked from ball leaving racquet or when crossing net?”
Thanks for your feedback Jon!
We are constantly working on performance improvements and an upgrade is expected in the coming weeks.
Stats on first serves, second serves, points won, errors, winners, returns and much more are expected as part of our "Match Mode" next update, coming as part of the same next upgrade
Regarding speed: Being a vision-based system, as opposed to radar-based systems, the camera calculates the average speed over the whole flight of the ball, from the racket to the bounce. This usually yields a slightly lower speed than the speed leaving the racket.
