“Encountered some of the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time with this company. Website states clearly "Free delivery on all orders" and in the delivery section "Before we go any further everything on our site comes with free delivery."
Ordered a bed on Thursday, received a phone call on Friday saying there was a £45 surcharge to deliver to my postcode. When I said this wasn't stated anywhere on the website was told "it only effects 5% of our customers. We don't sell a lot to Scotland. I'm not going to put there might be a surcharge on my website as it will cost me sales".
I've no problem with their being a surcharge for delivery to some areas (although I've never experienced it in my area before as I'm not in the Highlands and islands), but do have a problem when the website says free delivery with no mention anywhere of possible surcharges for some areas.”
“Placed an order with Lee for a MAZE garden furniture set including table - we discussed the order in detail over the phone to confirm what was included. After confirming the order and paying, he came back to advise he would need to charge an extra £500 for the table now - despite the fact that it was advertised as a complete package. The better beds website is showing lots of images of products available to purchase which are in fact no longer available or have been discontinued with the actual manufacturer, so order with caution - they cannot deliver on what they advertise and the prices are very misleading. Stay well clear.”
