They took my $2,000 dollars and will not refund me. Their contract states that if services are not satisfied then a refund would be available! These ppl will not refund me and my co author our money and STILL HAVE NOT finished the nessessary obligations of editing. We are seeking legal counsel.

I took them to UK Court and won, but... Warning: Terrible Company - AVOID I paid £15,000 in 2022 - and they did not deliver. £3,500 for a book package they never completed £10,000 for an animation - I have no animation at all to show for this. £1,500 for a 100x printed book they never delivered in full. I strongly advise against using Book Writing Founders. In July 2022, I paid them £10,000 for an animation and £3,500 for a book. In November 2022, I paid an additional £1,500 for 100 printed copies of the book. Over two years later, they have failed to fully deliver on any of these services. The most concerning issue is that I never received any of the animations I paid for. At one point, they told me they didn't even have an animation department anymore and promised me a refund, this never materialised. Later, they claimed that a staff member had misinformed me and that they did have an animation department, but still, no progress was made. Despite numerous attempts to resolve these issues, including taking them to the UK Small Claims Court, I have not received the services or refunds owed to me. The court ruled in my favour, ordering the Book Writing Company to pay me my refund, plus interest and court fee's = £12,117.21, but so far they have ignored this judgment as well. The UK Court ruling will now stay as a matter of public record for 6 years unless they pay me by 17th December 2024. I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. I will update this review if anything changes. Also, having read the other 1-star reviews - all their stories resonate with me, too. We all have a similar terrible story to tell.

Don't listen to these fake reviews. I've been waiting six months for a refund – they hang up my calls, call me names and told me to sue them because they won't be refunding a penny. Don't go with these people, they're based in India, not the US or UK as their website says and this can be found through the GOV. website. They're scammers. In the process of suing.

“Everything went wrong, this company is a total fraud and sham. They took my money delivered almost nothing and attempted to scam me countless times. I have pages of complaints and significant proof of the fraud they have committed against me. I STRONGLY recommend you not consider this organization. There offices are parking lots, mailboxes and boarded up buildings. They run everything through a single number. You can’t find a thing out about their leadership, you will be over promised and get NOTHING from what you pay. Every time there is a real review, you will see these one paragraph reviews, which I’m convinced they write. They will try to take you for money on every front, give you almost nothing and what they do give you is totally inadequate. Again, I could go on for pages. I am pursuing legal action against them including working with the FBI fraud division. They have a number of shadow, ghost companies, but don’t be surprised. Just look at the websites, it’s the same one with another name. Again, I have absolute proof of their deception, fraud and misdirection. SAVE your money and a ton of pain. There alias companies that I have uncovered are: - The Web Founders - Bookwriting Founders - Ghostwriting Founders - Scribemarketers - Book Writing Experts Most of these websites are totally bogus and share the same information. Again, do your homework, don't be scammed. Even there contracts have photos for signatures, false claims of money back. They will send you to upper level people in the company with false names and don't even exist. I believe the level of fraud is very significant. Please do your homework and don't get taken.

My long road of travails with Book Writing Founders You'll probably wonder why I've written the only three star rating up to now and I'll tell you why. I've been a client of BWF for two years now and I have four book titles published through them and perhaps a 5th and 6th if my concerns are ever properly addressed. My first and biggest concern is BWF managment's unwillingness to take ownership of their employees gross mistakes particularly those made by their "account managers" My experience with BWF "account managers" is they're in reality high-pressure commissioned sales people who do not last long for whatever reasons. What I've also found with BWF is their quality control is ubiqitous at best and their delays are in my opinion the result of indifference which occurs soon after the "account manager" (sales person) receives their commission and moves on to the next victim, knowing they won't be working there that long anyway. In the past two years I've gone through account managers like toilet paper. First there was Amanda, and then Lisa, Waylon, Becky, Mark, Joe, and Amy. My understanding is all of them are now gone but Amy. Waylon (the prize of the lot) once begged me to speak with one of the company's big wig "directors", a Robert Keenan. This snake-oil salesman projected big sales if I gave him $10,000 which he would manage through his subsidiary company in Santa Clara California. I foolishy forked over the money and where it went, who knows. At present I'm working with an empathetic and concerned senior manager named Kevin Peterson. Thus far he has examined where some of my $40,000 earmarked for marketing went. Mind you in 2-years BWF marketing has only yielded 65 book sales. Kevin informed me my money went towards their writing Instagram and Facebook posts even though I ordered four prior "account managers" to stop wasting my money on these posts. Apparently little money went towards actually promoting my four books. Why was BWF obsessed with posts? The reason is they've got bags of them. Sadly no one has ever read anything on Instagram and Facebook because there was never any promotion effort made to direct readers there. As for the website Lisa sold me two years ago for $5,000 which she said would by up in six weeks, it wasn't. After interminable delays I had to wait for Mr. Peterson, nearly two years later, to fix it and now I have a proper website. I might add Lisa, the crook who sold me the website, lied like a rug. I asked if there would be later costs and she said no. Later I learned there was a $3,000 fee for ADA compliance and a $1,000 fee for 5 years of forwarding email hook-up. Oh yes, the erstwhile Becky, said my books would fail if I did not have an audio link. The receipt for the four audio books reads $20,000 and supposidly other things which when questioned Becky replied it would go towards "marketing". By now you may well ask why I did not give Book Writing Founders an abysmal one or two star review. The answer is I consider myself a fair man. You see I've read the horror stories of other self-publishing companies out there who take your money and run off leaving you wondering what just happened. After countless delays BWF in the end has published two out of four audio books on Amazon Kindle. Mr. Kevin Peterson says the third audio book is in the works and I believe him. What I'm going to say about BWF may not make a great deal of sense but in the end they have this anemic sense of obligation towards eventually delivering deliver what you paid for. Do they correct all their mistakes? The answer is some but not all and again, eventually. My first book was published with the first letter up and down every right hand page missing for the first 273 pages. Waylon my "account manager" at the time blamed it on Kindle, but that was not true as it was an error made in house by BWF formatters. Was the problem corrected? It was, eventually. As for thier editors all I can say is they are hit and miss. Some are good, one is exceptional, and some are in desperate need of remedial English. Plan on editing the editor's work yourself unless you're fortunate enough to end up with one of the few good ones. Here's a good thing I will say which may not seem like much yet it is. They have a phone number someone answeres. They don't always identify themselves as BWF which is strangely odd, yet unlike the competition they do have a phone. So all in all, am I happy with BWF? The simple truth is no. I find their business culture of blaming former employees for what happened with their clients money to be wanting at best. The fact they have the gumption to even say it's the clients problem if their money was misspent is despicable. So why am I even still assocated with BWF? The answer is two-fold. One is I'm hopeful they'll do the right thing in the end and the second is, for what it's worth, they're the leper with the most fingers.

Book Writing Founders provides a quick turnaround but the final book cover didn't quite capture the essence of my story. Some improvements could be made in understanding client needs

A Disheartening Experience with Book Writing Founders I find myself compelled to share my recent disappointing experience with Book Writing Founders (BWF) in the hope that it serves as a cautionary tale for others considering their services. My journey with BWF began with optimism and excitement about bringing my book to life. However, over the past six weeks, my experience has taken a disheartening turn, marked by a complete lack of communication and unfulfilled promises. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to both Oliver and Andreea, my emails have gone unanswered, leaving me without updates on crucial elements of the publishing process. The absence of a designated escalation point has only added to my frustration, forcing me to explore legal avenues to address these issues. The handling of my manuscript has been less than secure, as I felt compelled to send sensitive publishing forms via email, hoping BWF has the necessary GDPR processes in place. This breach of data security is concerning and indicative of a lack of professionalism. My attempts to obtain critical information, such as the final proof draft, updated cover mock-ups, print material specifications, release dates, and distribution plans, have been met with silence or incomplete responses. It's disconcerting that basic questions about paper weight, cover card stock, and ethical sourcing of ink remain unanswered. In light of this experience, I'm left with no choice but to contemplate sharing my dissatisfaction across various digital platforms, including social media, to alert potential clients to the challenges they may face when working with BWF. This journey has been far from what I anticipated, and I hope that sharing my experience here prevents others from going through a similar ordeal. Open communication and transparency are crucial in any professional relationship, and unfortunately, my experience with BWF has left me questioning their commitment to these principles. If you are considering engaging BWF for your publishing needs, I strongly advise thorough research and careful consideration before proceeding.
