The equipment is of a really poor quality, made in China and then sold at an overinflated price. Their current handset the BN880 suffers from 4 serious known issues but has continued to be sold to unsuspecting customers. 1, The antenna features a printed circuit board and is highly directional and consequently deaf. This is why a normal mobile telephone has a better signal. 2, If you give the handset a slight tap it will restart taking around 30 seconds again a known issue placing those using the handsets in a public safety role at risk. 3, The chargers have been known to overheat and start smoking. Their support agent Adam advises using tin foil on the connections to make them work. 4, Don't be fooled by their 'CSN' it's not a critical network or even a network at all. It's an M2M or IOT sim card. If you really want one you can get the same one for about 25% of what BroadNet charge. BUT here is why you shouldn't.... They are not designed for this application, they are designed to go in credit card terminal etc where it remains in a static location. With BroadNet when you have a loss of signal it takes 30-60 seconds to reconnect to another network and in poor coverage areas this off course happens over and over and makes them useless. As the handsets don't use voting it will hold onto a very weak network even when there is a selection of stronger networks available. Don't even think about using them at events as they simply don't work. In short I would recommend looking at Motorola Wave. Yes the handsets are more expensive the subscription is about the same as BroadNet but it hands down beats BN. Any distance, anywhere? Yeah right!
