“Very happy with the mantle but the the plasterboard fixings are poor standard and not worth the extra money you have to pay. 12.5mm plasterboard which is skimmed, the fixings are long enough to hook on. So many better fixings available on the market, consider changing and not charging extra.”

“I ordered samples of wood/ colours. They arrived very quickly and I wasn't charged for delivery. Very pleased with that and the samples. I have now ordered a beam mantle piece.”

“Good quality of wood. Well informed about delivery. Fixing could be better way of doing it. Had to buy adhesive for joint rods and wood. No information about what drill bit size. Overall happy with how is looking.”

“Absolutely wonderful and generous company to deal with. I ordered some samples of different wood shades - they all arrived beautifully packed and they all look amazing....it was difficult to choose which one is the best. I'm buying a Grade 2 listed cottage, so I need to make it look authentic. These beams are the bee's knees when it comes to ordering - if and when I buy the property - defo going with Cottage Beams. I think they are a fabulously happy company. Helen”

“Cannot recommend this company enough. The products are beautiful, fairly priced and look wonderful. We purchased the natural oak beam and it has finished off the room perfectly. I needed the beam by a certain date and the team facilitated this with care and efficiency. Thank you so much.”

“We wanted to purchase the whitened reclaimed beam. It arrived looking completely unwhitened and I asked for a replacement. I was told work would begin immediately on the Monday and that the first beam would be collected on the Tuesday. It was indeed collected, but I had asked if the work could be expedited as my builders were only here for a week. The replacement beam arrived during the following week - so my builders have gone and I need to rebook them - and the new beam was simply the first one with a minimum of work and redispatched. So no new beam had been started, and you assumed we wouldn't notice. The whitening is so minimal it's almost invisible. It looks to me like a natural beam and nothing like the finish you advertise on your site. We decided to return the product. In desperation, you offered us 20% discount and a whitening kit - so we could do the work ourselves!!! Very unimpressed, and still awaiting confirmation that you have refunded the money.”
