“Digital river has been an ongoing disaster over several years. They debited our credit card without authorisation (done also 2 years ago without authorisation and told them NO AUTOMATIC PAYT FROM CREDIT CARD IN THE FUTURE)for a contract for Trend Micro security that does not expire for another year. The lady at the call centre in the Philippines was clueless and useless. We will be reconsidering our custom with them as having to continually waste time on the phone to fix their mistakes is becoming extremely frustrating and annoying.”
“I Bought software that didn't work for me and after contacting digital river explaining I got nothing for my money they refused my refund. Terrible way to deal with customers. They've basically scammed me and ripped me off. My advice is stay well away from digital river”

“I bought a Lenovo X1 Carbon through their Swedish website and got the wrong configuration. After more than six months of back and forth emails with Digital River, who apparently is their reseller in the EU, there is still no resolution. They've promised to compensate me - I have it in writing - but nothing happens and all I get is another "I've made a follow-up to my team" when I remind them.
Digital River is by far the worst organisation I've ever had to deal with. Stay away if you value your time and money! Lenovo makes good hardware but poor partner choices.”
“After placing an order with Lenovo, fulfilled by Digital River, and being guaranteed that the items were in stop and that they would be shipped next day, then receiving an email confirmation that the items would ship in the next 1-2 working days, we heard nothing for 4 days. Upon contacting the Digital River support several times, their representatives have absolutely no clue about what is happening with the order (some say that it is not in stock - even though it still shows in stock on the website - others say that it is actually being 'processed'...a week later...) and offer absolutely no solution, nor do they show any ability to answer any question posed to them.

“I ordered headphones and after an order confirmation email had no communication. After 11 days was told the item was on back order. I emailed 3 times indicating I wanted to cancel the order, and was told they may not be able to cancel with the warehouse, which does not make sense if the item was on back order. The day after I cancelled the order the item was shipped. Unfortunately I had already ordered the item from another vendor who got it to me in 2 days.”

If you have a Problem with your newly bought lenovo, for example because it encrypted itself after 3 month of usage and there is NO WAY of decryption possible or because the camera is not working then forget about a helpful customer service. “They put a 10 day "reserve" on £74.99 on my credit card without any warning, without my permission and my card went on negative balance. For an order that I never placed with them. After numerous emails and complaints they responded "Your refund is on its way and you should receive it within 5-7 business days". 11 working days after and still not refund! They NEVER refund the money fraudulently taken! Their "30 days money back guarantee" is just a joke! I have asked my bank to block any further attempts from AVAST or Digital River and to refund the money. This review Is going to be posted on other websites as well, people need to know and stay away. They might do some legal e-commerce as well but they I understand that many others were scammed just like me.”

Lenovo with partner River Ireland has extremely bad customer service. It looks like they are armatures trying to get peace of the market by not looking at their customers. Just selling goods and services and ignoring us. Like dishonest people do.
My journey with Lenovo and River Ireland started on 1 march 2019 (bought tablet from Lenovo.com web. But invoices are from River Ireland) when I place an order. Tablet received around 12 march 2019. Tablet stopped working 4 April 2019. Called to Lenovo tech. support I was advised that they can collect and fix it. But i wanted full refund because I believe it’s not to satisfactory quality (stop working in 23 day). Advised to go to River Ireland but no result they were sending me forwards and backwords through departments till this day 08 May 2019.
My advice to you forget that Lenovo and digital river ireland ltd that they exist it is frustrating for you to get it sorted when they give a dam about you.
I will never buy again from them and if i will see that someone is partners with Digital River Ireland LTD i will cancel my order straight away. I advise for you to do the same.”

Lenovo outsource sales and logistics to Digital River who are hands down the worst organisation I've ever tried to deal with. They don't respond to emails, ignore direct questions and leave tickets open for several days at a time without status updates while they wait for other departments to respond to them.
My new £3.5k laptop shipped with clearly visible defects on the screen and requesting an exchange be shipped prior to collection of the system (so I'm able to work in the -- shipment of the new machine will happen within 15 days of receipt!) required escalation. Lenovo and Digital River have no process for supporting their higher end models.
Avoid at all costs.”
