“It is a lovely design however very tight around the head could be bigger to fit nicer”

“The sweater had vibrant colors and fit well. I was under the impression, however, that the fabric would be much thicker than it was. I thought the various colors in the sweater were actually wool from 1970’s style sweaters which unfortunately they were not. I like the sweater but feel I am left a bit disappointed as for the price point I felt the product was a bit underwhelming.”

I’m glad to hear that you’re happy with the fit and colour of the sweater, though I’m sorry to hear it didn’t fully meet your expectations in terms of weight and construction. The Melrose range is designed using Soft Extrafine Merino, which is intentionally lightweight and breathable, making it well suited to milder temperatures and layering. This is reflected in the product description, as well as the use of fine-gauge merino rather than the heavier, thicker knits often associated with vintage Fair Isle styles from the 1970s. That said, we completely understand that personal expectations around weight and feel can vary, particularly when comparing to older heritage knits. “I returned the jumper I ordered. It was too small, despite have Ng the same size in a different colour way and the colours weren't as I expected them to be.”

“My order arrived very promptly and the returns process was equally efficient. The wool, colours and knitting were all great, however the sizing was quite small. My main issue was that each Fair Isle design, placed the largest band of pattern around the middle of the trunk, which was unflattering. I’m being honest, as a designer, in case this is of be interest… Sorry not to keep them”

“So i was very disappointed by the Colors of one of the two jumpers , that didn’t correspond at all to what i saw on the « catalogue » .I saw the Colors in dark grey and a luminous orange… it’s Moss Green with autumn Colors. I hesitated to send you back the jumper but it’s too much hassle to send a parcel to Scotland . So since I really don’t like thèse Colors I am going to give it to someone 😞”
