“I had a pair of these for many years that i found for sale in Brighton many years ago, I lived in these boots and walked so many miles. I was heartbroken when i finally wore them out. I was so pleased to find the exact style boot again from Forces Uniform and Kit. They are every bit as comfortable and I'm sure they will last me as well as my first pair. I bought 2 pairs just to ensure i had some to last for a good long while. Great value boot and great style. Love them.”

“S has to take back one pair of main streets hike boots they kill my feet and after 4 days walk the back bone of England fell appear the booti bought from here to replace them are full water road proof and do not kill my feet on the trail after 2 days walk there like slippery that do not let water in in deep river S there like goid fairy to my feet and I never want another boot again for long distance hiking I find these boot grip on the steep and I no more fear the road than the trails I stop place my trainnning shoes in the bag no more because I have no need of the relief to my feet”

“My wife bought two Dutch hooped Gore-Tex bivi bags for our camping trips from you guys. Both arrived very quickly. What can I say. We were really happy with the quality and condition of them. Like new. We have two OR Alpine Gore-Tex bivi bags and to be honest ill be selling them on gumtree and using these from now on. spent two nights in our back garden - 3Deg C. Very warm and dry. lay watching the stars through the mosquito netting. Access egress is really simple. two zips, one across the top and one along the side. Makes getting in and out real easy. Ill be ordering another one from you guys when I get back from overseas, for my son. Thanks again”

“Excellent quality, both cut, material and make, at this price. Sizes as given. (Only caveat - this is not a military coat but comes from the Guardia di Finanza, one of the five major police forces of Italy.)”

“Good solid jacket especially for the price. Mine had no repairs but did smell a bit stale so I washed it and let it dry in the sun and it is OK now. Heavier than I thought it would but this is not a problem as it is for an African expedition in the bush for 4 weeks. Pockets are a good size and the rear 'poacher pocket' was a nice surprise. Compliments my M65. Also fits well.”

“No knocking the quality, they would last forever, but they are so baggy on me I look a bit like a clown, probably because I'm only five foot tall. It may well be too late to return them, but that's my own fault.”

“Excellent service and fast delivery. But unfortunately that's were it ends the trouser are extremely light weight and paper thin. No signs of ware mind you!! So all good on that front just poor quality materil. I had bought to ware as work trousers but totally unsuitable as not strong enough very thin and fragile. Ok if you want a semi see through pair of pants result. May be ideal for hot climates if you just stand still walk and sit down . Certainly wouldn't consider a knee slide in them as it would end in tears. I would like to up loaded a photo of them as it suggests in the review options but you can't. So the photo is of them held up twin layered material infront of a child's bedside night light which has an old 3 watt spiral fluorescent bulb in it. Which is clearly visible though both sides of the material even in dark camo patches. So hope this help you get an idea of how thin they are so very airy.”

Hi John, thanks for the review, and as you say, because these trousers are part of our cheaper DISTRESSED RANGE, and at only £8, they are sold with that condition clearly and openly stated. Having said that, you've clearly had less usage than we would expect out of the pair and so we would have tried to help you if they'd not already been turned into dusters. We hope this experience has not dampened your trust in us, and we will of course welcome your future visits to our store.
