“These folk are the best. Good quality gear at competitive prices, with particular care take to give measurements, helping ensure a good fit. Refunds handled promptly. All communications responded to promptly and effectively. Only complaint is that the interesting stuff sells out too quickly in standard sizes!”

“I ordered a 4XL jacket. They sent me a large. The label said 3C, which is Belgian Army/NATO code for large. When I emailed them to say it was much too small they told me it was a 4XL, the biggest they have, and I couldn't have a refund. After a little back and forth they accepted it back and gave me a refund. However this left me £10.50 out of pocket, £7 for their 'postage' and £3.50 for mine.”

Thanks for the review and we are sorry that the variety of military sizing systems - and our simplified system for customer benefit - possibly led to the frustrations you outline. We did accept your return in this case as we wanted to check your complaint, and the chest size was found to be correct and matched our advertised size, hence our position on the no return, and no refund for the agreed return to us was warranted. Indeed, we are keen to remind all customers that whereas we sell our DISTRESSED garments under the clearly advertised method of no returns, if we have described the garment inaccurately or it fails in its serviceability, a return because of mis-description is acceptable, and if proven as well-founded, we will refund. Please note: The single chest dimension does of course not represent the arm lengths, tummy, and shoulder sizes, which may have been why the garment did not fit, but for the military personnel the garment was originally intended for, it would have been a standard fit and accommodated the physique of a combat ready soldier.

“This was my second purchase from FU&Kit, Always great company with superb customer service. My first order included some crampons and one was damaged but a replacment was sent out by return post at no cost to me. My recent purchase was a folding snow shovel with cover and WW2 battle dress jacket, both items were delivered very quickly and even better than described. This is internet shopping at its very best !!!”

“Company and products look great (on the website). Unfortunately, I'll never know if they are any good, since the courier (DPD) took a photo of some random location (not my house / address) to "prove" that I wasn't in. Anyway, long story short, Jay (FU&K) was polite, but didn't facilitate a (re)delivery that day or anytime soon. So, I've asked for a refund, which will, no doubt, take over a week. All in all, a day off work, a wasted morning emailing, with no goods to show for it. FU'kit, indeed!”

“I've purchased a pair of boots from this company Grade 1. They arrived and are absolutely worn to death. I sent photographic evidence. The heels are around 2cm lower on one side, laces frayed, the leather battered, soles worn out to be told because they are rare that is their GRADE 1 as inspected by their inspection specialist! He needs his eyes seriously tested! I wish I could attach the photograph as they are truly laughable! You can only email this company. They are certainly playing on the 'What can you possibly do about it' when they are 200 miles away! Avoid if you want to foot a £15 (2 way) postage cost if they send you a pile of tat!”

Hi Donna, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, it is greatly appreciated. Our boot specialist has been grading boots for over 30 years at this company. We have no intention nor the need to oversell our products. It was clearly stated in our description that the boots will be used and will show various signs of wear. Your description of the wear is erroneous, as a 2cm deficit in heel would amount to no heel at all. The boots were of Grade 1 standard and we're sorry that you were unhappy with the condition. We would suggest buying Super Grade if you wish to buy a pair that is close to new. Finally, as a gesture from us we did refund one of the carriages to end this dispute - so you did not have to pay for both ways. Best regards, Jay Moss

“Contacted company enquiring about sizing of Royal Navy gore tex jacket. Had a very prompt and friendly reply advising 180/96. Ordered jacket which arrived via DPD very quickly. Jacket is very good fit and in good condition and will be needed in the March rain! Fully recommend Forces Uniform & Kit and will use again. Thank you.”
