“I have used hair dye for years with no problem, unfortunately I developed a sensitivity so decided to try something more gentle . I followed the instructions exactly, but couldn't shake the mix enough to make it thick enough. I mixed it in a professional hairdresser bowl instead, but still rather runny . Having applied it and left for 1 hour 20, the colour had not taken at all . A total waste of time and money.”

Hi Frances, The mixture should foam up well, so I'm sorry to hear your powder did not. The water not being warm enough - around 38 degrees - is the most common pit fall, though occasionally a bottle just doesn't activate in the way it should. We'd be very happy to either give you a refund or to replace the bottle so you can try again. I note you also have a shade 8/0 in your order. It might be best if you see how you get on with this one first, then let us know what you'd like to do? If it is grey or partially grey hair you are working with, ash shades give the weakest coverage. All other shades should be stronger, with base shades the strongest choice for resistant grey. “Good product which I have used for several years. Easy to apply and holds the tone well. Non itchy/irritating which is a huge plus and good to know that it does not contain the dangerous toxins other brands do.”
