“After a few months of not dying my hair dyed (due to an allergic reaction to another brand I was using), I've just used the darkest Blond colour. It's v gentle!!! and my hair feels soft afterwards. It's a lovely colour too. It didn't cover all the grey at the front but I think that's because I didn't use enough. So next time I'll know. Highly recommend :)”

“I have a massive allergy to any colouring, anything!! Even henna. I was so desperate to find something that I could use and not ended up in A&E no matter how gentle or the claim to be free of this, of that. Everything gave me a reaction. Until I found water colour. It has literally changed my life. I do not use anything else at all. It allowed me to be grey free and fear free of ending up ill. Thanks so much. I love every colour I have tried and it fairly lasts too. It is not messy and it is planet friendly since I reuse my bowl, brush, mixing bottle over and over.”

“Amazing water hair dye no bad smell in very unwell sensitive to anything and reactions this honestly does not cause any reactions at all used this on preying roots bourdex it really shows the red out on greys on normal brown hair has a nice hint I had just ordered chestnut brown and I really do highly recommend 1 bottle is enough for greys and through above shoulder length shoulder length below 2 ro 3 bottle if you going all over leave it on for about 45 minutes for grey I leave it for 1 hour but longer the better it lasts a while depending on couler”

“Used these hair care products following cancer recovery, as advised by Consultant not to use "normal" hair dye. Very happy to have made the change 5 years ago. The results look good on my hair and I know that I am not risking further harm to my health. The options to reduce plastic waste also work for me. Win/Win/Win”

“I've been using Watercolour Hair Dye from Gentle Hair Dye for years and it is the only I would consider using. It gives a beautiful colour and my hair is in good condition using this product. I'm extremely happy with the result and it makes me feel good to know that it has less chemicals than most dyes, so it is helathier to use.”

“Your service is exemplary. My one suggestion is that you review your 100% Henna hair dye description. I did the allergy/reaction test for one week before going ahead and so thought i was safe, followed all instructions to the letter. The 100% Henna dye burnt my scalp and caused an allergic reaction, severe itching, crawling and headaches and to add insult to unjury did not dye my greys (roots). Obviously will never use again, but i think you should add a stronger warning to your customers or withdraw the product.”

“I have been using the Water Colour hair dye for several years now, as I am allergic to chemicals and perfumes that are found in commercial and even "herbal" based ones. Activated with hot water, it provides nice color and my hair stylist even commented that it is better for hair as she noticed a difference in the health and texture since using it. Being natural, it doesn't last as long as other permanent dyes, but it is much better for my hair and my health, so I pay the customs duty to have it sent from UK to Italy (oh I wish they were in Ireland EU instead! ;) But despite the cost, I find it worth it.”

“I have used the watercolour hair dyes for 10 years now to reduce toxic chemicals after going through breast cancer treatment. The company have been great in giving me advice on the right colour to manage grey hair as my hair is dark brown. I'm 61 now, still with long dark hair and I colour my roots/hair every 5 weeks. I get much better coverage when my friend does it though.”
