Dear Elena, I'm so sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with one of our products. It looks like you've been using our Water Colour for a few years, but recently tried a new brand we're stocking. We carefully select products that are gentle, but even with totally natural products (such as Henna) some people can still experience a reaction. When this happens, we always like to put things right, so I'll ask one of our team to give you a call and see what we can do. Though we know a reaction is never pleasant, we'd like to provide you with a more suitable dye (perhaps some more Water Colour) or a refund. “I have used hair dye for years with no problem, unfortunately I developed a sensitivity so decided to try something more gentle . I followed the instructions exactly, but couldn't shake the mix enough to make it thick enough. I mixed it in a professional hairdresser bowl instead, but still rather runny . Having applied it and left for 1 hour 20, the colour had not taken at all . A total waste of time and money.”

Hi Frances, The mixture should foam up well, so I'm sorry to hear your powder did not. The water not being warm enough - around 38 degrees - is the most common pit fall, though occasionally a bottle just doesn't activate in the way it should. We'd be very happy to either give you a refund or to replace the bottle so you can try again. I note you also have a shade 8/0 in your order. It might be best if you see how you get on with this one first, then let us know what you'd like to do? If it is grey or partially grey hair you are working with, ash shades give the weakest coverage. All other shades should be stronger, with base shades the strongest choice for resistant grey.
