“Beautifully packaged and well presented mug and a nice, simple method of charging. However, even when fully charged, the mug doesn't seem to maintain the temperature of the drink for very long. It does work, but just not as effectively as the Ember mug I also have, which was the same price. For what you get, this is quite an expensive purchase.”

“My wife likes her tea, but she's the kind of person who gets hyper-focused on something and then everything else is forgotten, including various mugs of tea abandoned to go stone cold, even after a reheat (or 3) in the microwave. This infuriates me, so I bought her a self-heating mug. Admittedly I didn't go for Glowstone to begin with, as I hadn't come across them yet. I started with a competitor, which appeared plain and minimalistic but was very gimmicky, and I needed an adaptor to plug it in to charge, an app and a Bluetooth connection. All this to get my absent-minded wife to stick to one cup, and finish it at some point in the day. It quickly lost charge and became a hassle, so I sought a better alternative, and that's when I found Glowstone. British plug, British design and founder, no app needed, no Bluetooth or other requirements, just a cup that heats a beverage to the right temperature until it's empty, and a charging stand that you can use overnight without worrying about overcharging. Just put it there and forget about it till the next cuppa. Perfect! She was also impressed by the incorporated design of the heating element. You don't see any electronic parts, it looks like pure bone china, even the bottom of it which charges magnetically I assume, so we don't worry about any elements of it deteriorating when washed in water. It's so simple to use that even the most tech-phobic person would appreciate it, and the classic design gives a luxury aspect to it that befits its quality and justifies the price.”

“What a fab product - you don’t have to rush through your morning coffee in 10 min before it gets cold or constantly reheat it, with Glowstone it stays a nice consistent temp while you leisurely enjoy your cuppa. I promise, you’ll never drink your coffee or tea out of any other mug again! I just ordered my second mug (heritage, gorgeous!) after using the first one every day since 2020.”

“I was impressed with Glowstone's delivery as the initial product was miss directed by the shipping company and Glowstone arranged another without any input from me. The product does what the literature says but the heating is limited and doubt it will keep coffee hot for an hour. Warmish yes. However when you consider the size of the "heating source" I'm not sure my expectation was completely realistic.”

“I have been using the mug for a month and it only seems to keep one cup of tea warm before it needs charging again - which takes a while. I am disappointed that it doesn't heat a few cups before needing to be charged - perhaps I have a faulty mug ?!”

“Once again another successful Glowstone purchase their products are quite unique and may seem expensive but ultimately you are purchasing a quality product which will last, My most recent purchase was for one of the self heating china mugs purchased as a gift for someone who is extremely difficult to buy for (the person who has everything) but not one of these. Item was well packaged Ordered on the Monday delivered by the following Friday. “The recipient loves it by the way “”

“I got my first glow stone as a Christmas present a couple of years ago, it’s quite possibly the best torch I’ve had with the head strap and tripod it can be used anywhere so when I saw the offer to get another one, I’ve got myself a new one in white and it’s even better than the first one I got (the first one is still working perfectly I just wanted a white one lol)”

“Nicely made and holds well. However, I thought from the pictures that it included the post into which the thumb screw inserts and tightens. In revisiting the site, I see that would be a camera mount/helmet mount, etc. Site could be clearer on this issue. This item is, literally, just the bracket and thumb screw.”

“Timely delivery. The mug works incredibly well and I use it at home and in the café. The fact it charges from USB and on standard wireless pads is brilliant. Recommend both the company and the heated mug.”
