“Love the selection box and certainly beats the rather minimal selection from a supermarket. Have had some beautiful fish from Hamilton especially love the lemon sole.Would love to live nearby so I could get an insight to the workings and come and buy directly every week. Massive thank you to the fishermen and women who are a integral part of the British food chain. (shame our political brigade don't recognise this)”

“I use Hamiltons online order order form every few weeks to order a selection of fish ranging from, fresh hake,haddock,smoked fish or crabmeat.Everything is fresh and packed in useful see through poly wallets with the item labelled. I'm offered a delivery date and receive my order as promised. I have also sent langoustines as a birthday gift with a messsage card enclosed. Excellent all round service”

“We were very disappointed with the quality /portion size of the fish we received in our last order. The skate was in strips which seemed more like offcuts and the cod portions were very small even though there was a supplement for this. We're now going to look for alternative suppliers.”

Hi Jean, Thank you for your feedback — I’m really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with some of the fish on your recent order. We take great care in sourcing and preparing all of our fish, so it’s disappointing to hear that the skate and cod didn’t meet your expectations. Our skate is sometimes cut in strips for the build your own fish box if the size of the skate wings are very large, but it should still be of excellent quality — and I completely understand that presentation and portion size are important. I’d really appreciate the chance to look into this properly and make things right if we’ve fallen short. I’ll reach out to you by email shortly to follow up with you personally.

“I ordered dressed crab and turbot from Hamiltons recently. The crab was delicious. It was very fresh and of a good quality. The turbot was of a generous size and the flesh was white and delicate. We hope to order again. Thank you Jay”
