“Metastatic lung cancer patient with two tumours forwarded from east London nhs for a hospital bed to be delivered imminently so my father can die at home in familiar surroundings. Several delayed deliveries - three weeks after first request, there is still nothing delivered. Had to change address after social worker deemed my fathers peppery unsuitable to return to and was told by the very insensitive bolshie telephone operative who lacked any empathy, now requesting we wait another week for delivery - my father literally has weeks left to live. Insensitive, unrealisable and rude staff. Poor organisation, lack of speed or empathy for the situation. Would never use this company.”
“Millbrook’s complaints department don’t reply to complaints; what is the purpose of a complaints department that don’t reply? I believe that a good way to assess a company is by how it responds to complaints; if it doesn’t respond well, it is a certain sign that they aren’t customer oriented.
Millbrook Healthcare/Mi-Guardian’s telecare call centre is run by Appello and their service is appalling. Look elsewhere for telecare!
They have insisted on sending an ambulance even when told it wasn’t required and they have not called emergency contacts provided, and again, sent an ambulance.
I understand that companies have got to protect themselves from legal action being taken against them but ignoring customer requirements that would protect the companies (Millbrook Healthcare/Mi-Guardian and Appello) is unacceptable, wastes NHS time and causes undue stress.
There are many other healthcare providers whose service is rated as excellent on Trustpilot and I would advise everyone to use their services rather Millbrook Healthcare/Mi-Guardian/Appello's”
