“Great coffee at a decent price. A loyalty scheme for regular customers (the subscription service doesn't really land this) would take Modern Standard's offering to a higher level.”

“Having bought various coffee beans, mainly from South America, Modern Standard offer, in my view, excellent mild roasted beans. Much coffee in UK is over roasted so some of the finer notes are damaged and not present. Still, if that’s what some like then fine. Not for me though. Modern Standard also sell their beans at reasonable prices even though coffee prices globally have shot up.”

“Hi there I am trying to find my favourite coffee bean and my daughter recommended your company . I’ve tried 2 of the bags and I didn’t rate the coffee. I use a Sage espresso machine and I got little to zero crema and issues with the flow. After several adjustments the taste was ok but very bland. My favourite coffees have been Canadian Balzac and Kicking Horse but would obviously rather have a local supplier.”

“Regular customer get my delivery very quickly via Post Office parcels. The beans were roasted the day before dispatch or the day before. Don’t get much fresher!”

“We tend to drink the Santa Lucia Brazilian coffee (for aeropress as a treat when hiking. Genuinely delicious with milk chocolate notes when a dash of milk is added. Most of my friends have ordered some themselves as a result of trying. Many thanks guys, awesome job!”

“I'm drinking their most popular coffee, they one they use in their own momentum esspresso, it is the best coffee i've ever had, yes i know everyone is different but i have waited about 55 years as a coffee drinker to experience this, im new to whole bean machines and coffees and have tried a few lately, this is the best so far and as luck would have it......local to me :) i pick it up from the roastery so couldnt be any fresher.”

“I am from the US and in 2023 I lived in Edinburgh and came to love Modern Standards wonderful roasts, going there every day in the morning. I love Modern Standard so much that though I am back in the US I have some Modern Standard shipped to me in the US once a year.”
