“good coffee, but I find it inexplicable that their bags are not recyclable. I've switched to a roaster whose bags are even compostable. The shop is in England, so ordering it involves more food miles than Modern which are about 20 miles from me, so there's a trade-off, but this makes more sense to me. The coffee is at least as good. Otherwise though, the Modern guys were pleasant and efficient.”

“I now always buy Modern Standard Coffee. There is a large variety of coffee available which can be bought either ground or as a bean. My favourites are Momentum and Colombian.”

“Plenty of choices and, once we'd found the particular bean we preferred, easy to order and delivered (usually) in a timely fashion. Prices have crept up, but so has everything else we buy, so nothing unusual about that”

“Coffee is second to none, it’s perfect for us. Fresh and delivered in 1-2 days (strikes allowing). However they penalise for buying under a subscription. Paying for 12 months upfront is just under 20% more expensive than ordering monthly manually.”
