“I recently had an issue with the RingGo app when paying for parking. After paying for a 3-hour session at location 15767, the session didn’t appear in the app, so I made a second payment for the same duration. Neither payment showed up in the app during my session, causing a lot of stress about potential fines.
Later, I received text confirmations for both payments, proving the payments went through. I contacted customer support via email, clearly explaining the situation and attaching evidence of both payments and charges. However, I’ve received no response, and attempts to connect via live chat have been equally frustrating—after long waits, the chat ends with no resolution. 😠
I’m concerned about: 1️⃣ Being fined despite paying twice.
2️⃣ Getting a refund for the second, unnecessary payment.
RingGo, if you pride yourselves on convenience and reliability, your customer service needs urgent improvement. Has anyone else had similar issues? Any advice?

“Bristol wants people to visit the city, support local businesses. It is happy to outsource parking to Ringo, one if the most unreliable and infuriating parking apps.
My advice, as someone who has to travel to Bristol regularly and wrestle with Ringo is, go elsewhere. I've just spent 10 mins in rain trying to make the Ringo app work.

“It sends a message with a number for verification that is then apparently not right. You can't get to speak to someone and the virtual assistant does not respond either. Awful company and experience”
“Absolute scam of a company, will never use again and regret the day I ever downloaded it on terrible football outing in Birmingham, the specific car park in question was ‘small heath medical centre’ we found of the app which described it as ‘parking for match days only’ so we thought perfect only a short walk through the dirty streets of Birmingham to get to the stadium this’ll do, once the game finished we returned to our vehicle to find the gates padlocked shut, after calling the number on the gate they said they haven’t got any contract or any agreement with any 3rd party to provide parking at any time and that we’d have to pay a call out fee of £40 for someone to come out and open the gate and taking into consideration it was 11:30 at this point and we needed to drive back to north wales we really didn’t have any other options but to pay the fee for a call out.
Once back home I began emailing the company persistently in order to resolve the issue, eventually after a lot of back and forth emails for about a week and a half getting nowhere they said that they did have an agreement with the medical centre but they pulled out at the last min and they forgot to take the parking space off the app (it’s still there to this day to scam more customer btw) and that they’d refund me and reimburse the call out charge, I thought perfect that’s sorted but it wasn’t until I had to email them another 3 times after that threatening legal action and trading standards getting involved when they eventually sent the payment to me.
Awful company, shouldn’t be allowed to trade, uninstalled never using again and hope no one else falls for their dirty tricks!”
“This company are a shambles they should not be allowed to run our car parks. The app never works and will take money off your account without your permission and without giving you any parking session and when you ask for it back customer services just tell you they don’t understand what’s happening and they cannot handle your enquiry so emails and letters back-and-forth for weeks to try and get your money back they are useless but there’s no way of avoiding them. As they are running all of the car parks up and down the country, absolute scandalous typical rip-off Britain.”
“I parked in Windsor Qpark. Ringo deducted £24.30 from my account and I already paid through the Qpark system. When contacted they refused to pay it back so contacted Qparks who were very helpful. Reminder do not put autopsy they just take your money wherever you are so ended up paying twice”
“There is no transparency regarding the extra charges RingGo adds to use the service. Unless looking at the small print, most users do not realise that there is 20p convenience fee, 10p for text messages. Paying at a machine is cheaper”

“Possibly the worst parking service not just in the UK but on the planet!
Their machines don't take coins and if they do, they want the exact change as no change given.
You cannot speak to an operator at all!!
They're phone number shows up as something random.
But the worst of all is that you download the App to register your vehicle to pay for parking. It won't let you register your car if you already tried to register before (regardless if you were unsuccessful) and if you call up, the automated robot is absolute rubbish.
So technically if you happen to park in a RingGo facility, just be very careful because you most likely won't be able to pay by cash or register online or use the App or speak to an operator.
Completely useless service & an utter rip-off.
They need to be reported to Trading Standards or such likes!”
