“It is easy to use but takes some practice. I have open-toe compression socks after having knee surgery so the challenge is not pushing my toes out the hole and having the sock come up too far. The one problem I discovered was measurements before and after surgery changed due to swelling but as long as I could get the socks up to the base of my knees I could successfully pull them up the rest of the way. I could NOT use the collar to remove the sock however, my knee was too swollen.”

Regarding the doffing; you do not have to put the ring that high. You can put it a little lower as well. Did you try to put it a little under the thickest part of your calf? First fold down the stocking a bit, then put the ring around your leg and then fold back the stocking over the ring. Then you can use the stocking aid to push down the stocking. This might be the solution for you :)

“I have not figured out how to get my foot started into the sock. Still working on it. What I figured out [ that they don't tell you is get the gloves and make sure the heel is all the way to the top so when you slide your foot in everything falls into place perfectly. I have revised my review. Just be sure the heel is exposed at the top.”

“The product is the most ingenious that I’ve seen. The greatest thing about it is that it really works. Most sock-aids help you put your stalking on but doesn’t help you get it off. This one does both. This personal tool is amazing. I have arthritis in my spine. I can’t bend without pain, but this tool is a marvel thanks so much for providing it. The unit was extremely well packaged and was very easy to assemble and adjust. The center section, which is where the stocking slips over, is made of very smooth heavy duty plastic with well-rounded edges where the stockings slips over.
