“Ordering was easy. But the donning device took over 3 weeks to come. I realize that it was shipped from Belgium but did not expect it to take that long. It took a call to get things moving. The package came right alfter my call with an explanation that it had been held up in customs. Since this is the only source of a product of this design, I had to order it from here.”
“This product works. However there is a learning curve. You must take apart the unit ( except for handles) to remove (doff) socks. & that is annoying because it is hard to pull center piece out once it’s in place to “don” socks. It would be helpful if gloves and floor mat were included at this price. I went to garden store and purchased basically same gloves and am using rubber backed bath mat for non-slippage on floor. But it is the only thing I have found that works. The handle posts are metal (sturdy) and adjustable so if you can’t bend easily, that helps tremendously.”

“For the aides that are on the market Stockingaid is the most practical solution in that you don't have to be a contortionist to use it. The sleek plastic foot guide makes a great deal of difference. You end up sliding your foot down and out into the stocking. If your foot is not almost perfectly aligned the best you can hope for is a rather painful experience.”

It is certainly not meant to hurt when you use the Steve.. We made it availble in 4 different sizes, where the calf circumference is leading and next to that the foot width is important as well. Of course I don't know about your specific sitution, but I'm happy to check if you are using the right size or happy to help you with some tips & tricks for use of the steve in case of an uneven foot shape.
