I have installed several rubber liner ponds over the years, the last one was a big one about 35 years ago, I was about 35 years old an fit.
I’m no just coming up for 70th year and had forgotten how heavy these rubber liners actually are, and then there is the physical size, and with addition of working on my own and a couple of seriously hot days and a situation where space was limited, every stage had to be done from within the excavation, yes I really struggled to start with, then I just slowed down and was force to think about every move, and happily it all went well, though I was absolutely shattered by time I got everything in place and it’s only a tiny pond.
Next it was shorts on, socks off for the filling stage, tucking and folding as I went, and with the heat we’ve had in the past couple of days, in the pond was the best place to be.
Building up the edges with rocks as I went and using the excess rubber liner and underlay under and behind each piece of rock for extra protection for the pond liner.
I have still got a Little Rock work to do, but it all seems to be going well.
The pond liner and underlay are of great quality and wouldn’t hesitate to order from The Pond People.”
