“I have come across Andrew McKie recently and am very pleased to have found him and am using him as Counsel on a number of significant property and contract cases I am running. I am the instructing solicitor. Both myself and the clients are delighted with his grasp of detail, the timely advice he gives, his legal analysis, his speed in replying to correspondence and the reassurance it brings with having him on the case.”
“It was a pleasure working with Mr Andrew Mckie on a complex Housing Disrepair matter. His legal expertise in Housing Disrepair and proficiency were observable throughout. Andrew’s ability to advocate technical legal points with expeditiousness ensured a positive outcome at trial.”
“I had an extremely disappointing experience with Andrew McKie. I instructed him for an important court hearing, paying nearly £4,000 in fees, but the work he delivered was riddled with inaccuracies. His skeleton argument contained serious incorrect detail that demonstrated a fundamental lack of understanding of the matter and even went so far as to seriously prejudice my position by his errors.
When confronted about these issues, Mr. McKie admitted to being 'professionally embarrassed' and refused to take responsibility by offering a refund, despite his clear inability to provide competent representation.
I would strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering his services, as my experience was far below the standard expected from a barrister. I am now preparing to pursue a formal complaint with the Bar Standards Board to address his conduct and the financial impact.”
We do not agree with this post is factually accurate or makes a fair representation of the issues or the high standard of service all our clients are provided with. The client instructed Counsel to pursue a charging order application defence for a hearing and correct advice and drafting was offered which was a high standard for the case based on the available legal arguments open. Counsel was forced to withdraw from the case due to a conflict of interest. The client was provided with the same high standard of advice and representation we as Counsel apply to all clients we represent in accordance with the standards expected of our regulator. The client has been encouraged to follow the complaints process of Chambers and has been pointed to the correct processes to follow in this regard.
“Andrew goes above and beyond to support you on your cases and give you all the facts that you need. Andrew has recently helped me with an Upper Tribunal Application and without him I don’t think we would have been successful. Thank you Andrew”
“I had the privilege of working with an exceptional barrister Mr Andrew Mckie in two proceedings, one at the Central London County Court (CLCC) and the other at the First-Tier Tribunal (FTT) Property Chamber. His professionalism and expert knowledge in property law were evident throughout. He handled my cases with remarkable efficiency, adhering closely to my instructions while providing clear, strategic advice. His ability to communicate complex legal matters in an accessible manner, combined with his swift responsiveness, ensured a smooth process. I highly recommend his services for anyone navigating property disputes.”
