“I had an extremely disappointing experience with Andrew McKie. I instructed him for an important court hearing, paying nearly £4,000 in fees, but the work he delivered was riddled with inaccuracies. His skeleton argument contained serious incorrect detail that demonstrated a fundamental lack of understanding of the matter and even went so far as to seriously prejudice my position by his errors.
When confronted about these issues, Mr. McKie admitted to being 'professionally embarrassed' and refused to take responsibility by offering a refund, despite his clear inability to provide competent representation.
I would strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering his services, as my experience was far below the standard expected from a barrister. I am now preparing to pursue a formal complaint with the Bar Standards Board to address his conduct and the financial impact.”

The client instructed Counsel to pursue a charging order application defence for a hearing and correct advice and drafting was offered which was a high standard for the case based on the available legal arguments open. Counsel was forced to withdraw from the case due to a conflict of interest. The client was provided with the same high standard of advice and representation we as Counsel apply to all clients we represent in accordance with the standards expected of our regulator. The client has been encouraged to follow the complaints process of Chambers and has been pointed to the correct processes to follow in this regard.
