“Lawn is very uneven. The operative levelled it by stamping once with one foot on a plank then moving on. Soil was left on the floor through my house and the outside areas front and back were left covered with soil, no attempt was made to clear. Now it has grown, there are patches of extremely coarse grass, not only of the highest quality. I would not recommend this company.”

“My lawn was dead, soil was dust rather than earth. Turf Laying Expert's quotes were almost half of what other companies quoted; reason being that they are a turf company not landscapers. This is their daily business and they buy turf in large quantities, so receive a good rate from their suppliers. I gave the wrong measurements and they were happy to go back to their supplier to get more. No complaining, no hiking up the price to take advantage of my mistake, and no sharp intake of breath or rolling their eyes. This makes them a GOOD business. They even (ad-hoc) re-turfed my neighbour's lawn. Of course I paid more than they quoted, more turf was required, but again, not hiked up to take advantage of me! Overall their attitude was positive, happy and very helpful with my weird boundary requirements. Attached are photos and progress. The lawn WAS laid during an August heatwave week, but the instructions from the Turf Experts was followed to precise (3 times a day watering, hose pipe ban exempt for new lawns). The photos are from initial lay 13 August, progress end of August and final after 2/3 mowing of lawn in October. Excellent job and excellent people.”

“The transformation is incredible and my expectations have been exceeded. The company was recommended to me by a close by neighbour and they haven't disappointed. Polite, punctual and clearly knowledgeable workers. The whole process has been hassle free. I have already asked them to come back to returf my back garden in September.”

“From start to finish the turf laying experts were fantastic. The whole team were great and carried out the work professionally and on time. The price wasn't crazy either, unlike some quotes I got. My garden looks wonderful and i can't thank them enough. 10/10.”

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Very poor quality of work. The new lawn is not level with our patio (by at least an inch) and lumpy beyond acceptability. Add to that unprofessional conduct in leaving the place in a mess and the doors to my property wide open as they left which is a security risk. They haven't even acknowledged my complaint. Wish I'd taken note of the other negative reviews and used another company.”

“Lawn look good when first put down, Day 1 started to sink in places, Day two Sank even more, Day three inspection below turf revealed stones and hardly any top soil, quote showed 10m3 of topsoil to supply for 200m2, I only saw about 2 Ton arrive. Further inspection soil put on top of existing lawn, old lawn not removed or rotavated in places, Day 5 Turf dying, even after turf watered every day constantly, Turf not knitted together just butted up, so shrinkage gaps more than should be. Promised to return at correct, didn't arrive, ignores calls, ignores, texts, ignores emails, To do this to other trades who have relied on their trust is despicable”

“Absolutely must advise to stay well clear. Paid £750 to replace a bumpy 38 year old lawn with too much meadow grass runners in it. New turf is poor quality, had potato peelings in it or in the topsoil leading to potato plants everywhere, plus other weeds, but more than anything else it is ridden with meadow grass and its runners that need digging out and reseeding. Gave up after 6 months as lawn ****ing awful. Paid another £500 to another company who couldn't believe the shoddy quality and workmanship done by the "turf laying experts"!! - some improvement immediately but three months later the lawn had turned back to how it was when laid, but with now nine months meadow grass growth - at least twice as bad as what we had removed - and even more uneven. They did nothing to flatten the lawn area. and filled our green bins with soil and grass, so heavy the council would not take them. A 40 sq.m. lawn done in a few hours - no chance they could give it the attention it really needed. Looks like we need to start again, at more and greater cost - but this time with a company with half a clue what they are doing. Shame we didn't read the reviews first - although back then all were "Anonymous" and only one bad review referring to another bad review that had been deleted. We did call with issues early on but were basically told to go forth and multiply with no customer service offered at all. If you do use this company only pay by credit card so you are protected financially if they give the same quality and service we got.”

“overall, had a good experience using turf laying experts. the only issue I had was the last minute change of plans when they had to change the day they were coming out to me. Luckily they re-arranged for 2 days later but it was a bit of a pain as i had taken the day off work origianlly. however, i am happy with my new lawn and shouldn't complain.”

“All the way through I was kept up to date about everything. I called up and asked for a price and within three weeks they had booked me in and completed the work - to a very high standard. The ladies in the office were informative and quick to respond to my emails/calls and the turfers on the day were genuine and hardworking. Very happy that I used this company.”

“I had my lawn laid a few years ago but it didn't take too well. This time I researched some different companies and came across the turf laying experts online. I asked for rowlawn turf which they got for me and the team were very professional and helpful and the garden looks really good. I didn't find any fault with using this company. I would happily reccomend using them.”
