Overall a smooth process, won’t be returning as a skilled creator, the compensation is extremely low.

so far only one on of the 3 selected creators has submitted a clip. Communication for follow up from the other 2 is unanswered - but I still out the free product. The creator who did deliver was excellent - but 1 out of 3 isnt great.

We're sorry to hear that two of the creators you selected have not responded, and we understand how frustrating that can be. Just for full transparency, creators get constant notifications every time they have a new message, once they need to upload the video etc. so we're doing everything in our power to deliver the video in a timely manner. The only good thing to come out of Clip was the creators themselves. The website is very cluncky and doesn’t always allow you to play video clips, with the mobile version of the website being impossible to work with so being an on the go business owner it limited me on when I could use the website. The messaging system requires every message to be approved by Clip between you and the content creator making the process very difficult to communicate fast and effectively. Once you have reviewed a creator there is no way to section them to ‘viewed’ or ‘no’ only a shortlist option. The fact you pay up front for the content should mean you have no restrictions on communication within the messaging system with the creators. The content creators that applied some hadn’t even read the brief and applied despite not ticking the boxes however we did manage to find 3 that did but this took time as we waited for more applicants. Would I use UGC content again - Yes! Would I use Clip to help me with this… No, not without major improvements to their website. If I am honest if it wasn’t for the creators who created decent content (who are the business) then my review would have been 1 star.

Hi James, Thanks for the feedback provided. I am sharing this with our team right now. We're working on some updates to the website and its mobile version, which will improve the experience for brands and creators, we're aware of some minor issues. Regarding the messages moderated by our team, we approve all the messages in less than 24 hours, averaging less than 12 hours on most days. However, I will make sure to pass this feedback on to our team as well. In terms of restrictions, I must mention that once a creator is accepted for a job, communication is not restricted at all, except for sharing contact information like email, phone number, or social media handles, which are unnecessary. Other than that, there are no restrictions once a creator is accepted for the job. On average, creators apply to work with brands in 24 hours, but sometimes, which might also be the case here, it takes a bit longer depending on what type of creators a brand is looking for and in what niche. If the brand wants more creators and variety, receiving more applicants might take up to 72 hours, depending on the creators. Once again, thanks for all the feedback above! The rates for creators are astronomically low. I have worked with other content platforms where I receive payouts of an average of £100.00 per video. I also think to protect creators work-life balance there should be customisable settings for work days, or turnaround dates on content. When I have a few collaborations on the go I end up working 7 days a week to avoid the automated deadline emails and threats to pause my account. There's been times I've rushed to get the content in for the deadline and then been waiting days for it to be approved by the brand anyway. Would love to see some changes come to the platform that shows some care for creators.

Hey there, Thanks for the feedback - we appreciate it. We're working at the moment on adding more features where creators are paid more - some of them are live - subtitles, music, and even video variations. We're also working on a tipping feature where all the tips will go directly to creators. We understand your point of view regarding work-life balance, but please be advised that you can always reach out to us and the brands you work with to discuss this and ask for an extension. At the same time, the number of collaborations is directly tied to the number of applications creators make; if they feel too many collaborations happen at the same time, it is advised to lower the number of applications. I believe the compensation should be higher for us creators who put our blood sweat and tears into helping these brands create their desired results.

Very basic system compared to others on the market, difficult to understand requirements / brands can change the brief easily. Suggest entire app needs a revamp as it is not user friendly. Payout to creators far to low - $40 for a video is not sustainable.

In terms of brands being able to edit the brief, I'm not sure we understand what this means: brands can only edit a brief in the first 24 hours since publishing it.
