Staff were very courteous & professional. However, appointment was rushed (they were behind schedule). Dr very quickly scanned over my legs using a simple looking device & drew some lines on a piece of paper. Furthermore, the report they emailed over was very generic. It stated that we had discussed all treatment options, but in reality, they had barely touched on it. Consultation a waste of money. Mr S.

I was charged a cancellation fee of £300 because I was unable to attend my appt due to a last minute work commitment. I’m very disappointed by the lack of understanding from the surgery. I was intending on having quite a lot of expensive treatment with the vein Centre which I will now do with a competitor. This means that i shall not continue

I had my consultation appointment begging of February 2023. The staff and consultants were friendly and professional. I have a lot of small thread veins and most of them on my left leg. The consultant said that he can help me and close the majority of them. I agreed to the sclerotherapy treatment and had it done just a few weeks after. The treatment was done only on a small area of my left leg. Since the procedure, the thread veins haven't disappeared. My left leg looks worse than before the treatment. I am very disappointed and upset with this outcome. I would like to be contacted to find out how this can be resolved.

Thread veins can be stubborn to treat and this is something we are transparent about, as often more than one treatment session is required to reach the desired result. Unbelievable, consultation cost me £250 and I have been told that they don’t give guaranties that they can remove it.Spending £3000 with no guarantees this is not what I wanted to hear. I wish they advised it before on the internet so they would not rob me. Completely waste of time and money. O confidence in them.

As a company, we are up front and honest about all aspects of our service. Whilst our treatments are highly successful, and we have successfully treated thousands of patients, in medicine, you cannot 100% guarantee success and we are open about this, despite it being quite rare to experience a recurrence after treatment. It would be against our value of honesty to not be transparent, as when consenting to medical treatment, you are signing on the basis that you recognise and have been made aware of the risks, although the risks are small. We are the UK’s leading varicose vein and thread vein treatment provider, and carry out many procedures daily in our nationwide clinics. We are highly regarded, with a specialist team of consultants who have many years of experience in their field, and the procedures we perform are the gold standard, recommended by NICE. As explained, we can only treat problems that are present at the time of being scanned, our treatments are not preventative, as there is no way of preventing more varicose veins in the future. In the rare case that there is a recurrence in treated veins following treatment, we offer a free of charge repeat treatment guarantee if the follow up appointment is carried out within 12 weeks of the initial treatment. I am still waiting for my consultation report. Unless I am missing something there were no health checks performed during my assessment. Ie Blood pressure, simple questions on general health. I didn’t feel comfortable with going ahead with this procedure but will be looking at other private options for this treatment

Dear Mrs Roper, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are disappointed to hear that you will not be going ahead with treatment at Veincentre. As this is an open platform, I am unable to discuss specifics, however I do wish to try and clear up any concerns regarding the process of the consultation. Prior to attending the clinic for a consultation, we ask all patients to complete a pre-consultation questionnaire which asks questions regarding your medical history. I can see that you did complete this, and the discussion of your medical history is documented in your appointment report, which is a standard part of the consultation. All checks that are required to be made are done during this appointment, including a full duplex ultrasound scan. I can assure you that there is nothing else required, such as blood pressure checks. Our consultants are highly experienced and specialised in this field. I am sorry that you don’t feel comfortable to go ahead with the recommended treatment with us, but I hope the explanation of the above helps. I have passed this over to our Colchester clinic manager who will be in touch with you soon in order to clear up and rectify your concerns.
