I surprised my husband for his birthday, and it was my first time camping. It was perfect, beautiful, stunning, only the best things!! We had an amazing weekend. We brought our dog and he was also in heaven. We went in September and actually was pretty chilly, so a recommendation I have is if you know it’s going to be somewhat cold bring extra blankets and bring layers. The first night we had trouble getting the fireplace inside the tent started so we couldn’t get warm. There was plenty of firewood supplied for us, everything was clean and I actually was OK using the outdoor restroom. The little pop-up tent around made me feel completely comfortable. We brought a cast iron pan, and a huge cooler of food, so we never had to leave. Definitely bring a wash bucket/pan or else you won’t be able to clean your cleaning utensils. Oh- and bring extra tongs, oven mitt, and a spatula- it helps out if you’re not used to cooking over an outdoor fire - As long as yours won’t melt (whoops!) the outdoor space was mowed and kept clean which I really appreciated - no bugs or ticks to worry about. The water cooler provided was awesome and there’s a place to fill up if you need more right down the hill. And the owners were responsive if you needed something but you were completely secluded. Book this place - you absolutely will not regret it!!!!!!
