I've been using the scooter for a day or so, and this thing is a blast. As expected, it struggles up some steep (>16%) grades but really takes off on flat or downhill routes. Even in those steep hill situations, I was always able to keep above 5-6 kph by pushing along with my foot, with the hub motor working in support. The brakes take a bit to get used to, it almost seems like the electric brake is at 0% or 100% when you depress the lever. You can feel the effects of the regenerative brake as soon as you hit the throttle after a downhill. At just under 30 lbs, it is easy to carry around or lift over curbs, which makes this useful even with a decent number of stairs to get down to street level from my house. The lights are bright, the turn signals are an awesome feature and all around I am very happy with this scooter. The heat-shrink cable connecting the motor to the deck seems like it will get in the way of turning the wheel, and I can already see some signs of wear on that outer shield. I might put some supportive/sacrificial padding on that part to keep it in good shape.
