I came from an entry level hard tail to the the Marin Rift Zone 1 and my performance and on the trails has ridiculously improved. I'm a heavy rider at 6'3 250lbs (and dropping) and the bike has been an absolute tank, just eating everything I throw at it. Durability would be a 10/10 from me however I did end up swapping the front through axle (SRAM Maxle) for a stronger option after stripping the hex head with an allen key. Also the rear QR lever was super tight from the factory so that's something to lookout for. Despite that I believe I bought the best XL bike on the market at this price point. 5/5 from me.
