1545PB polished solid brass handrail brackets were fitted with 6mm green wall plugs.
Ash handrail, flat on bottom, available at Bunnings, was mitred, each piece half the fall angle, and dowel joint glued, ends routered, stained with Feast Watson prooftint golden teak, varnished with Cabots Cabothane oil based satin two coats cut back very lightly on first coat. Building regulations did not require a handrail for the three steps on the split level house but without a handrail it is dangerous so it was added.
