We had a great time at Painted Turtle Pond despite two nights of heavy rain. Lynn Piper, the camp host, has really gone to great lengths to make this camp comfortable in any weather. Everything we needed was there from abundant dry wood and kindling for the fire pit to charcoal for the Smokey Joe grill. The queen size bed was very comfortable, there were chairs in and out of the tent, and plenty of water for drinking and washing up. There's even a propane heater that we didn't need but it was nice to know it was available. The site is lovely, under some maple trees and close to a small pond, and all we could hear was the mooing of their cattle in the distance -- important safety tip -- if you have a cow chasing dog you may want to keep them on lead, ours found his inner herder and went on a muddy adventure after the cows. We found two really nice hikes nearby and just enjoyed hanging out. We highly recommend this Tentrr site and guess that the other sites run by Lynn are equally nice.
