The storyline is fantastic and can easily be adapted to whether the children are mixed or same sex. Illustration enhances the reading experience as my children thoroughly enjoyed seeing themselves on the page. 1 suggestion I do have is the profile of the child. My 8 year old son wasn't happy that his 4 year old sister was the same height. Everyone's a critic!!! Ahaha
